Senior Academy Clubs!


*American Red Cross Club (ARC club)~

The purpose of the ARC club is to promote community service, provide live-saving skills such as CPR/AED/First Aid training, and making a positive impact on other around us.

Advisor: Mrs. Emily Massey

Meeting Time: Every Monday at lunch or after school

Location: Mrs. Emily Massey’s classroom


*Art Club~

The Art Club is a group of students who enjoy making art and desire to use their artistic talents to benefit others.  Students create artwork to display in the school and our community as well.  Art Club members also help with the annual spring event, "Inspire", an arts and language expo that showcases each area of the arts offered at EWA.

Advisor: Mrs. Dana Jones

Meeting Time: Mondays 3:45-4:30pm

*Cross-Eyed Bible Club~

Cross-Eyed is a Christian club that allows students of Christian faith to come toegther for bible study and encouragement in Christ.

Advisor: Ms. Boyd

Meeting Time: Every Tuesday at lunch

*Chorus Club~


Advisor: Mrs. J. Massey

*Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)~

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will help students with their walk with Christ.  It will give them a spiritual lift and help teach the core values based on scripture.

Advisor: Mr. Knight

Meeting Time: 11:30-12:00 - Every 4th Wednesday of the month

Location: Mrs. Setzer's classroom 


*Feminist Expressions Club~

In this club students will create various forms of expressive art, such as painting, videography, photography, theatre, etc. to express global feminist issues, anywhere from South Africa, to right here at EWA. Students will also raise awareness for feminism through these projects. Students will have days for discussions and debates with each other about feminist issues. Students will go within our community and support women by volunteering at women's centers, seeing live theatre directed by women, going to the Women's March, and raising money for Women's Organizations through our expressive art projects.

*Future Business Leaders of America~

North Carolina Future Business Leaders of America (NC FBLA) is a career and technical student organization that serves students who are or have been enrolled in a Business Education course. NC FBLA is affiliated with FBLA-PBL, which is a national organization with 250,000 student members and 56 affiliate state organizations.

The mission of NC FBLA is to help build and sustain Business Education programs of excellence in order to serve our communities, state, and nation. NC FBLA is an integral part of North Carolina's Business Education Program, which serves over 280,000 students. It provides students with leadership opportunities as well as a means to compete with other students in regional, state, and national conferences.

*Gaming Club~

Gaming Club focuses on the shared interest of students in playing board and video games.

Meeting Time:  Tuesday & Thursday at lunch, Thursday after school

*Green Club~

The Green Club of EWA hopes to promote and support on-campus energy conservation, sustainability, and recycling efforts across campus.  Club members organize and participate in recycling projects and events.

Advisor: Mrs. Berube/Mrs. Parker

Meeting Time: 4th Thursday each month

Location: Mrs. Berube’s classroom/ Mrs. Parker’s classroom


*Peace Club~

The Peace Club is a teen support club that helps raise awareness & love and spreads positivity all throughout campus while also highlighting and informing you on the important things that goes on in our world. Club members will organize and participate in events, club projects and teen support group discussions!

Advisor: Mrs. Futrell

Meeting Time: 2nd & 4th Fridays each month at lunch

*Signs of Life~

Signs of Life is open to any student who has successfully completed American Sign Language Level 1.  Signs of Life translates popular music into ASL and performs at student functions on campus and in the community when requested.

Advisor: Mrs. Futrell

Elected/Chosen Organizations


*Student Government Association (SGA)~

East Wake Academy’s High School Student Council is a member of the National Association of Student Councils.  Student Council maintains an open membership policy in which any high school student is eligible.  Council members can run for an Executive Council position such as Student Body President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and grade level president.  Student Council provides an effective means for developing student participation in school activities and governance.

Meeting Time: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays after school

Location: Ms. Gibbs' classroom 


*National Honor Society (NHS)~

National Honor Society is a service organization for scholarly students who show excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. They must maintain a GPA of 3.75 during membership. They are also required to participate in a certain number of hours of service.

Advisor: Mrs. Coward and Ms. McLain

Meeting Time: 1st and 3rd Wednesday (Lunch ~11:40-12:15)

Location: Ms. Coward’s classroom
