Future Business Leaders of America

North Carolina Future Business Leaders of America (NC FBLA) is a career and technical student organization that serves students who are or have been enrolled in a Business Education course. NC FBLA is affiliated with FBLA-PBL, which is a national organization with 250,000 student members and 56 affiliate state organizations.

The mission of NC FBLA is to help build and sustain Business Education programs of excellence in order to serve our communities, state, and nation. NC FBLA is an integral part of North Carolina's Business Education Program, which serves over 280,000 students. It provides students with leadership opportunities as well as a means to compete with other students in regional, state, and national conferences.         

 

 

Middle Academy COLE team (Battle of the Books)

Advisor: Mrs. Rusho
Meeting Time: One Monday a month 3:40pm to 4:30pm, morning readings on Monday morning.
Location: Room 206

 

The Middle Academy COLE team is a student organization that promotes life-long readers.  The students take ownership in reading novels in preparation for a state/area wide battle of the books competition.

 

 

Middle Academy Student Council (MASC)

Advisor: Ms. Jessica Berry and Mrs. Hayley Ward
Meeting Time: Every Thursday at lunch and after school on selected days from 3:45pm to 4:30pm, Officer meetings will be announced
Location: Room 207

 

The Middle Academy Student Council is a student run organization to promote student leadership in the Middle School. The Student Council will sponsor community service events, school spirit events, and much more. These events will be planned, organized, and run by students in 5th through 8th grades. Officers are elected by a popular vote in the middle school.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

E
stablished in 1929, the National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier recognition program for middle level students. The NJHS insignia is widely recognized as representing those individuals who have distinguished themselves as outstanding in their schools and community. Students who are selected to participate in NJHS exemplify the five pillars of scholarship, character, service, leadership and citizenship. National Junior Honor Society Chapter meetings will meet in Mrs. Boulware's classroom (Room 205) on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held from 3:30 - 4:15pm. Other meetings and/or events will be announced.
