Familiar Face in a New Place

We are excited to announce that Jodi Pearson will be joining the elementary staff as our new assistant principal. We see Mrs. Pearson as a huge asset with her strong background in curriculum, track record of success in the classroom, and special education experience. Please welcome Mrs. Pearson to her new position on staff. We look forward to her helping to continue to make the elementary school great!

A message from Mrs. Pearson:

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the new Elementary Assistant Principal at East Wake Academy. I recently earned my Master’s in School Administration from Barton College, where I also received my undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Education and Special Education. I have been a part of the EWA family for the last ten years, serving initially as a middle school special education teacher before moving into the sixth-grade math classroom. During this time, I piloted the Flipped Classroom Model of instruction, and each year my students have exceeded expected growth. My time at EWA has given me the opportunity to prepare for the role of Elementary Assistant Principal by serving as grade-level team leader, mentoring beginning teachers, and delivering multiple professional development opportunities on topics such as growth mindset to blended learning.  I am looking forward to continuing my relationships in a new dimension with students, staff, and families. My goal is and will continue to be to inspire our students to be their best and support our dedicated teachers to ensure our elementary program continues to provide the highest quality of education.

 Go Eagles,

Jodi Pearson
