Senior Academy Announcements

May 27, 2020

Good Morning Senior Academy Families!

EWA News:

June 3, 2020: We are going to use CARPOOL as our method for pickup.  The teachers will have any items that belong to your student bagged up and ready for pickup. Please remember your carpool tag. If you have any school items (books – etc.), we will have drop boxes available that day. Library books too!

Closing out the Year

Grades:  We wanted to remind our families that we are following State guidelines for final grades for this year.  We are working with our PowerSchool partner to work out a few kinks in the system.  Teachers are working on inputting the required information, and their deadline is not until Friday, May 29, 2020.

Grades 9-11:  Choice for students -

  • Option A:  Best of Quarter three or the average of Q3 and Q4 (the numeric average will be included in your GPA)
  • Option B:  PC 19 (A student will receive graduation requirement credit but will not be calculated in your GPA. Your HS teacher has been in contact with you.  If not, please reach out to Mr. Johnson)

Grade 12:  All Seniors received a PC19

Students Stay updated:

Yearbooks: We have <80 yearbooks to sell.  You can purchase a yearbook online from EWA. Go to Yearbook Order.  This link will take you to MySchoolBucks, our online payment system. Once you log in, go to the School Store tab and look for Yearbook.  If you complete this by May 29, your Yearbook will be placed in your "pickup" bag on June 3. Otherwise, we will coordinate a pickup for you.  Mrs. Coward has worked out with Mrs. Boykin to have a limited number of Yearbooks available for sale in the elementary lobby.  Please email Mrs. Boykin for details.

Seniors:

  • As a result of the new Governor's Phase 2 Executive Order, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to have the prom next month.

Counselor’s Corner:Notes from Mrs. Naftel…

Family Wellness Check:  As we move from instruction to summer recharge, our Student (Family) Support Team wanted to check in with our families.  We all know the stress COVID 19 has placed on our families.  We have used the storm analogy before – we are all in the same storm, just different boats.  Please take a few minutes to complete this quick check-in so our team can help you with resources and support.
