We are excited to celebrate East Wake Academy's Class of 2021 with a drive-thru parade on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at approximately 3:45pm. Our students will line up at Carly C's in Zebulon and then proceed down Gannon Avenue towards the school taking a left on Cemetery Drive before arriving on campus. Once students arrive on campus there will be teachers lined along the carpool route cheering them on! If you happen to see them please be sure to give them a wave!!! A special thanks to the Zebulon Police Department for help making this possible! #EWAincredible
We need your help! As we move to reopen, we need your help in building our supply of cleaning items that we will use to help mitigate COVID spread. The link below will take you to our AMAZON wish list. We need to make sure we have as much on hand as we can. (increase our current inventory). The items do not have to come from Amazon and do not need to be specific brands. Whatever and wherever you find, these items will be helpful. You can ship items directly to the school or drop them off. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Weatherspoon. firstname.lastname@example.org https://a.co/iK4XcQy
A message from Board Member and Parent: As an EWA board member and EWA parent, I appreciate the community of our school. We have wonderful, caring, and focused teachers and administration that work hard every day to ensure that our kids are getting the best education and support possible. I love that we have a local board of EWA parents and members of our community that all have a vested personal interest in our school's success. Having a local school board that is dedicated just to our school is such a positive thing in my eyes. It is not located in another state or managing a vast number of schools as many other charter schools and school districts are, but right here with people who care. #charterlove
Why our admin LOVE EWA: What I love about working at East Wake Academy is our endless effort to pursue excellence. I love being a part of a community of practitioners who do what's best for kids on a daily basis. Teachers are giving the flexibility to shine in their area of expertise to meet the needs of each student who enters our buildings. Families are engaged in our school and support us wholeheartedly. I also enjoy the fact that parents make the CHOICE to bring their very best to our school and trust us to lay the foundation for their child's academia. We all like having the choice, right? #charterlove
Another message from a parent: EWA has been a second home for my kids for the past nine years. A home means that you are surrounded by people that love you and care deeply for your well-being. It is a place that they can grow and learn, taught by committed professionals who guide and challenge them along the way. EWA is that place where students are known as a person rather than just a GPA or a number on the back of an athletic uniform. Through established lines of communication from teachers and administrators, parents are more aware and involved in their child's education, which ultimately builds a sense of vibrant community. We are so fortunate that our family is a small part of the EWA family. #charterlove
More from our parents: We love the quality education and communication of all the staff of EWA from top to bottom. Mr. Gay is often found at carpool opening doors and greeting us. He’s quick to respond to any concerns we have. Our children’s teachers are very communicative and work to resolve any issues they observe in our children. In a day and time where public school instruction gets a bad rap for poor test scores- EWA feels like a high dollar private school who treats its students as a family. #charterlove
More LOVE from our parents: We have been very lucky to have been a member of the EWA family for the past 6 years. From day one, we have been thankful for the teachers and staff. There is great joy knowing our children attend a school where the teachers and staff treat your children as one of their own. We have every confidence not only in the rigorous education they are receiving but also the love and compassion they need to grown into successful adults. #charterlove
Why our parents love EWA: East Wake Academy is more than just a charter school. It’s a family. A family filled with wonderful teachers and outstanding leadership. A place where kids feel safe and can thrive in their studies. EWA encourages students to achieve their goals and to keep pushing, never settling for anything less than their personal best. It’s hard to find this type of bond in a traditional school setting, but at EWA it’s a way of life. Having been a family of EWA for 15 years and counting, we can truly say there is no better school than East Wake Academy for our family. Go Eagles!!! #charterlove
