Frequently Asked Questions about EWA
Q: Why Choose East Wake Academy?
A. East Wake Academy strives to deliver the most outstanding college prep curriculum to our students in order for them to achieve success in their futures beyond EWA.
Q: Are there any registration fees or tuition?
A: No. East Wake Academy is a public charter school. Our school is funded by tax money, the way that regular public schools are. The only costs to you are for school clothes and school supplies - just like you would have at any other public school.
Q: What grades do you offer?
A: We offer Kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are truly a family school, meaning that all of your school-aged children may attend the same school, at the same time. No more running from different schools to drop off and pick up your children.
Q: Do I have to live in Wake County to attend your school?
A: No, Charter schools are open to any student.
Q: What do students do for lunch?
A: Students at EWA bring their lunch to school or there are hot lunch days. Juniors and Seniors are able to go off campus during their lunch time.
Q: What about transportation?
A: Students and parents must provide their own transportation to and from school.
