Attention Families of Upcoming Kindergartners:

 Letters are being mailed out this week with details and your assigned assessment time.  Please look out for this letter and mark your appointment on your calendar. 

Also, be sure to email Candy Weatherspoon- cweatherspoon@eastwakeacademy.org to confirm your appointment.  It is extremely important that your child attend the assessment. This is not a pass or fail assessment, it just gives us information we need to be prepared when your child starts school. 

We look forward to seeing you at Kindergarten Assessments on June 9th.


EWA is in need of Proctors for EOG's and EOC's.  This is a great way to volunteer and help out our school!

Listed below are some FAQ's and important Dates.  If you are interested please email ecracchiolo@eastwakeacademy.org or call (919)404-0444 extension 1065 by May 3, 2016.

What is a proctor?

A proctor is someone who assists the staff member with maintaining a proper test environment by helping monitor the room.

When are the dates of the test?

Testing begins May 23rd and continues until June 3, with the exception of Memorial Day (May 30th).

Elementary/5th grade EOG's - the week of May 23-26

Middle school and High school May 26-June 3.

What is required to be a proctor?

1.  You must be 18 years of age or oder and not currently enrolled in a public secondary school.

2.  Attend proctor training prior to test dates (listed below)

3.  Be available at least one of the testing dates

When is proctor training offered?

There are two times to choose from and will take place on campus in the Elementary computer lab.  The training will take roughly 30 minutes.

You only need to attend one.

May 16,2016-11:00 am or 3:45 pm
