RISING Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: Please be sure to make an appointment with Ms. Griswold to create your schedule for the 2023-2024 school year. There is a link in your email as well as QR codes throughout the Senior Academy.
Spirit Week is coming February 27th-March 3rd with a Pep Rally in the Gym on Friday, March 3rd. The days are as follows:
Monday- Gym Rat vs. Couch Potato
Tuesday- Emo Day
Wednesday- Y2k Day
Thursday- Hero vs. Villain Day
Friday- Color War
seniors- black, juniors-blue, sophomores- green, freshman- white

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES:
There will be a Carolina Mud Cats job fair on Saturday February 18 from 10am-2pm at Five County Stadium.
Shelton Challenge - Shelton Leadership (ncsu.edu) This is a leadership retreat for rising 10-12th graders. The core curriculum of this six-day summer program is based on General Shelton’s five values related to leadership: honesty, integrity, diversity, social responsibility, and compassion. Traditionally, participants live on campus at NC State University for the duration of the retreat. The application is found at the link. This will look good on college applications!
Scholarships:
Seniors who live in Wilson, Nash or Franklin County could qualify for the Golden Leaf Scholarship that is worth up to $14,000. Here is the link for more information: https://scholars.goldenleaf.org/

Nash Community College News:
Nash CC will be hosting a CTE showcase and this year we have included activities for students K-12. There will be interactive stations, games, and giveaways for all to enjoy and we hope that students and parents will come with lots of questions and excitement. The event is on Tuesday February 28th from 3:30-6:30pm.

CLUBS:
Inspire shirts for our March 9th Inspire student work expo are only on sale until the 17th! This shirt can be worn the day of inspire and can be bought with the QR code provided around the school!
The Afternoon Gaming Club will be in Mr. Harrington's room this afternoon until 5:30.
We will not have an afternoon Gaming Club tomorrow.
Ensemble Auditions will be held this Thursday after school!! Please dress out upon dismissal and report directly to the high school dance room. Ms. Ludlum will meet all students auditioning in the high school dance room first, and then everyone will report to the gym together. Please have your parents pick you up at the gym at 5:30pm.
