Middle Academy Announcements
Calling all current 8th graders! There will be an audition for the 2023-2024 high school Hip-Hop Team on Tuesday, April 20th from 3:30-4:30 PM. If you will be a freshman next year in high school, then you are eligible to audition. This team, starting in the next school year, will meet once a week after school and will perform at the pep rally and dance concert. For more information about this team or the audition, please email Mrs. Cyrus at lcyrus@eastwakeacademy.org.
The Spring MA Dance "Under the Sea" will be on Friday 4/14 from 6:00-8:30. Only MA EWA students may attend. The attire is semi-formal or casual; your choice. Students must be in attendance the day of the dance in order to attend.
Dance tickets will be sold during lunch on Tuesday 4/11 and Thursday 4/13 for $8.00. Chick Fil A can also be pre-ordered on the same day for an additional $5.00 per sandwich. Please bring exact change. Tickets will also be sold the night of the dance at the door for $10.00.
There is a PAL Dress Down Day this Thursday, March 30, 2023.
There will be a MASC lunch meeting this Wednesday 3/29 in Spirit Hall. All members should attend. Please no heat ups so we can get through the meeting.
There will not be a MASC workday this Thursday 3/30. Please plan to attend regular carpool. The next two weeks there will be workdays so please plan to attend unless you email Ms. Berry.
FBLA will meet this Thursday March 30 at 8:00 in Spirit Hall. We will discuss FBLA Nationals in Atlanta in June 2023 - give out t-shirts for those who tested at states - and give out medals for those who placed in the top 10 at states! If you are unable to make it on Thursday, email me and I will bring you your items to class!
First Priority will resume next Tuesday, 4/4, during lunch in the dance room in Building 5. Remember, try not to bring a heat up on these days! We look forward to seeing you!

Drop and Pick Up
No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
Middle Academy Events
Middle School carpool does not begin until 3:15. If you arrive earlier you will be asked to go to the back of the line. Students are in class until their release time of 3:15.
EWA K-12 Field Trip/Educational Day: Our school spring field trip will be Wednesday, April 12th at the Mudcats Stadium in Zebulon, NC. All students K-12 will be attending an EWA Mudcats Educational Day!
Middle Academy Sports Events
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
