Mudcat Field Trip Information

Our field trip to EWA’s Mudcat Education Day is fast approaching, and we are looking forward to a great day!  The deadline to sign up to participate in EWA’s sponsored field trip has passed. Those who wish to attend the game independent of EWA (as an unexcused absence) may do so as the event is open to the general public. EWA’s campus will be open for students not attending this event.

Please read the following carefully for game day information:

  • The game is Wednesday, April 12th.  Gates open at 10:00am and the first pitch will be at 11:00am.
  • Parents: If you are transporting your child only, arrive at the stadium at 10:00am.  You will not need to come to EWA first.  You will be able to sign your child out at the stadium.
  • Student Drivers: If you are transporting yourself and/or another HS sibling, arrive at the stadium at 10. No student will be allowed to be signed out by anyone other than their parent/guardian/legally-licensed driver sibling unless written permission has been given by both parties in advance to Mrs. Davis (ldavis@eastwakeacademy.org) by both parties’ parent/guardian.
  • Student Passengers: If anyone other than your parent, guardian, or licensed driver sibling is transporting you to or from Mudcats, we need to have that in writing before we can release you to go home with them. Please have your parent/guardian email Mrs. Davis (ldavis@eastwakeacademy.org).
  • Parents and chaperones are expected to directly supervise any Elementary/Middle School siblings. No HS students should be responsible for chaperoning siblings at the game.  Any issues or concerns should be immediately reported to an EWA teacher or staff member.
  • All parking will be on the Old US 264 entrance to the stadium.  Prepaid parking passes will be distributed to students on Tuesday, April 11th.  EWA is not responsible for lost parking passes.  If you misplace or forget your prepaid pass, you will have to pay for parking the morning of the game.
  • Upon arrival at the stadium, check in with your child’s assigned teacher (students will be given their assigned teachers on Tuesday April 11th)  to receive your prepaid admission and lunch tickets.  Admission tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate the morning of the game.
  • Each person is allowed to bring one unopened, sealed water bottle into the stadium.  No other outside food or drink is allowed.  General concessions will be available for food purchases.
  • Visit the Mudcat’s website for more information on stadium policies for permissible and restricted items.
