Quote of the Day

Hola todos.  To honor Hispanic Heritage Month, the Spanish Club will be reading quotes from famous or historical people in the Latino community.

Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez was a Colombian novelist, short-story writer, screenwriter, and journalist.  He received the Nobel Prize in Literature on 10 December 1982 "for his novels and short stories, in which the fantastic and the realistic are combined in a richly composed world of imagination, reflecting a continent's life and conflicts". He once said . . .

“Lo que importa en la vida no es lo que te pasa, sino lo que recuerdas y cómo lo recuerdas”.

“What matters in life is not what happens to you, but what you remember and how you remember it.”

— Gabriel García Márquez
