Middle Academy Announcements
Any 7th or 8th grade students who are interested in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) - please come to the interest meeting on Friday August 9th at 8:00am in Spirit Hall for more information.
There will be an interest meeting for Student Council grades 5-8 in spirit hall during lunch tomorrow, August 7th. Please no heat ups so we can get through all the details. Applications and videos will be due August 15th. Please email Ms. Berry or Ms. Strickland if you have questions following the interest meeting.
6th, 7th, & 8th graders: If you are interested in being a First Priority leader, please stop by Mrs. Williams room to receive an application/recommendation form and plan to attend the interest meeting on Thursday, August 8th, during lunch in Mrs. Williams room.
Our 1st First Priority meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, August 13th, during lunch in the dance room. This meeting will be for 7th & 8th graders only. Please do not bring heat ups. The first First Priority meeting for 5th & 6th graders will be the following Tuesday, August 20th.
There will be a Yard, No Sale of lost and found items in Spirit Hall today and Wednesday. All unclaimed items will be donated. Please come at the designated times with your teachers’ permission.
East Wake Academy's Orchestra Program presented by Wake Forest Community Youth Orchestra (WFCYO)! Registration is open until August 9th. After this date, no other registrations will be accepted. Classes begin September 9, 2024. *Registration for the Spring 2025 Session will begin in December.
Lost and Found
Lost and found will be updated weekly on the website. https://ewalostandfound.weebly.com/
Lost and Found for Middle is now being housed in a container right outside the office. If you know students are missing items, please send them down to look BEFORE SCHOOL/HOMEROOM or DURING LUNCH. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.
Drop and Pick Up
No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
When arriving for AA pickup in the afternoons, please arrive @3:45 and stay in the right lane closest to the building ONLY.
Middle Academy Events
Please do not drop off students on campus in the morning before carpool. If you need to drop off earlier than 7:40, please utilize the morning WINGS service.
Middle School carpool in the afternoon does not begin until 3:15. If you arrive earlier you will be asked to go to the back of the line. Students are in class until their release time of 3:15.
Students, during carpool you are to be seated in your classroom watching the screen for your carpool number to come up. Students are not to be in the hallways, standing up within the classroom, but waiting for your number to be displayed. Parents are not to arrive before 3:20. Students are to only be dismissed by your teacher to head to carpool when you both see your number come up. Any students seen at carpool without permission or prior to release time will face disciplinary action. Thank you for following the rules that have been in place for your safety.
Middle Academy Sports
When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office unless checking out another student that is not playing sports.
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.

Please turn your tryout packet into Coach Bowman or Coach Schumacher, do not turn them into your coach.
