Good Morning Senior Academy
STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:
Columbia University Admissions representative, Chris Quach, will be on campus on September 6 during 3rd period. If you are interested in attending his presentation, please email Ms. Shearin (pshearin@eastwakeacademy.org) to RSVP.
Hispanic Heritage Month is right around the corner! Do you have family members from a Spanish speaking country? If so, the Spanish Club wants to celebrate you! See Mrs. Jones for more information or scan the QR code on the Spanish Club posters set up throughout the school.
There will be a Lost and Found “Yard, NO Sale” in the Commons Area half circle from Tuesday, August 27th through Friday, August 30th. This is a last attempt to get items back to their owners before donations. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the week. Students may come down to view items before school, at lunch and afterschool before carpool starts.

Are you interested in traveling abroad to Europe or even South America? We have opportunities for YOU! There will be two virtual meetings next week to tell you more about how you can travel. There will be a virtual meeting on Tuesday, August 27th at 6 pm to learn about a trip to Belize, as well as, a virtual meeting on Thursday, August 29th to share information about a trip to Irelend! Sign up for these meetings through the QR codes and links posted on Ms. Haynes' and Mrs. Broadwell's doors, as well as on posters around the building. CLUBS:
First Priority will meet during lunch TODAY, Thursday under the porch outside the electives hall.
The first official SCIENCE OLYMPIAD CLUB meeting will be held TODAY Thursday, after school in Ms. Sines' room starting at 3:25. Join us for the first big competition! All future Science Olympiad Meetings will be held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month afterschool in Ms. Sines Room.
NAHS will have their next meeting Wednesday, September 4th at lunch in the art room. Those who have applied to become members will know if they should attend by Friday, August 30th. All $15 dues are needed by this date from this year's members.
Art club is growing from just an open studio time to art and design club. Art and Design Club will have an interest meeting during lunch September 10th in Mrs. Wade’s room. If you are interested in joining please attend as we will go over important information.
Attention all FBLA members - All Study Guides for the FBLA Regional Competition have been sent to the competitors. There is still time to sign up to compete! Those who have received an email from Mrs. Warren - please read all the information and get with Mrs Warren to schedule a quick time to review. Our next FBLA meeting will be Friday Sept 13 at lunch in Warren's room.

Attention Students- Let's pack the Student Section at this week's Volleyball games!! STUDENTS receive FREE ADMISSION when dressed for theme nights. Friday (8/30) is USA/PATRIOTIC Night! JV plays at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:00.
