Good Morning Senior Academy
National Mentoring Day is coming up this Sunday, October 27th. The mentors at East Wake Academy are dedicated to helping new teachers improve their skills and gain confidence, ultimately guiding them to become successful educators. We are grateful for their support, especially from Ms. Leigh Lane and Ms. Payton Shearin, who serve as mentors in the high school. Most importantly, we want to express our gratitude to Ms. Cheryl Lanier, our Mentor Coordinator, for ensuring the success of EWA's Mentoring Program. On this day, we honor them for their essential role in shaping the future of education.
CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to Kelli Toney who has been accepted to East Carolina University and Barton College with a scholarship from Barton College totalling $48,000 and
Congratulations to Drew Bizub on his acceptances to EAst Carolina University, Western Carolina University & Campbell University. Additionally, Drew has been invited to apply for the Brinkley-Lane full ride scholarship at ECU, has been accepted into the Honors Program at WCU and has been offered a $116,000 total scholarship from Campbell.

*SPIRIT WEEK DETAILS and DRESS CODE: " Your Student Council has heard your voice regarding Spirit Week and Homecoming. Fall Spirit Week will be from November 4th until November 8th, with a Pep Rally on Friday November 8th during 4th period. Your Fall Spirit Week Days are as follows:
- Monday November 4th: Pajama Day
- Tuesday November 5th: Dress Like a Teacher/ Dress Like a Student Swap Day
- Wednesday November 6th: Decade Day Versus
- Freshman: 2000's
- Sophomores: 80's
- Juniors: 90's
- Seniors: 70's
- Thursday November 7th: Disney Day
- Friday November 8th: Color Wars
- Freshman: Pink
- Sophomores: Blue
- Juniors: Red
- Seniors: Black
Your Homecoming Dance theme will be Golden Gala and will be on Friday November 15th from 8pm until Midnight in the High School. This is a semi formal event and students should be dressed to impressed. That means NO JEANS and NO HATS! Tickets will go on sale during Spirit Week. More information to come soon. CLUBS:
Attention Book Club: we will meet TODAY at lunch to discuss Life After Life. Please bring your book with you to exchange for next month's book, Still Alice.
NAHS will be selling painted rock art at lunch this week at the half circle. Bring cash and support the arts!
NHS will be selling Boo-Grams this week during lunch to raise money for the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund. They are $1 each (cash only) for a special treat and personalized message to any student, teacher, or faculty member in the high school. Boo-Grams will be delivered to homerooms on October 31st.
Attention FBLA members - our Regional Competition is just around the corner on Saturday December 14 at Cary High School. All Study Materials for regional tests have been sent out. Please check your email and google classroom to make sure you have everything you need. We will meet on Friday November 1st at lunch in Warren's room to schedule testing and review the conference details!
SPORTS:
There will be a Women’s Varsity Softball interest meeting on Friday, November 8th at 11:30am in the Dining Hall.
