Middle Academy Announcements
Middle Academy cheer tryouts will be on Monday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 5. Please meet in Mrs. Blackwell's room at 3:30. Tryouts will end at 5:15. You must have the cheer tryout packet and EWA athletic packet completed as well as an up to date physical to try out.
There will be a First Priority meeting Wednesday for ALL GRADE level students who have permission to attend. The meeting will be in the DANCE ROOM in building 5. No heat ups please.
Any 6th-8th-grade boy interested in trying out for basketball, there will be an interest meeting in Spirit Hall at 12:00 on Thursday, 10/30. Do not bring your lunch as this meeting will be brief. If you cannot attend, please see Coach T before tryouts.
There will be a Lost and Found “Yard, NO Sale” in Spirit Hall today through Friday, October 31st. This is a last attempt to get items back to their owners before donations. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the week. Students may come down to view items at designated times with teachers’ permission.
Great job on your participation for PJD day yesterday. Here is the Spirit Week participation winners for Monday:

2nd Place: 8th Grade- 97%
1st Place: 6th Grade- 98.99%
Remember that there will be a King and Queen chosen for each grade on Friday so keep trying and show your EWA pride.

There will be a MASC Fall dance, Winter in Paris, on Friday 11/07 from 6:00-8:30. All students in grades 5-8 are permitted to attend. No outside guests are permitted. All students must be counted present for school on 11/07 in order to attend the dance. Tickets will go on sale on 11/04 and 11/05 during lunch in Spirit Hall. Tickets cost $8 per student. Chickfil A sandwiches can be pre-ordered for $5.50 each as well. This can be paid for online via myschoolbucks as well. Please review the fall dance letter for more details in regards to dance dress code, carpool pickup, and dance concessions.
The 2025 Fall Dance Concert is November 13th at 7 PM at Louisburg College. Doors open at 6:30 and tickets are $5 for students, $10 for general admission, and free for staff. Cash only at the door. For questions, please contact Miss Ludlum.
Drop and Pick Up
No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
When arriving for AA pickup in the afternoons, please arrive @3:45 and stay in the right lane closest to the building ONLY.
If your student does not come out to carpool and you have looped around, please come in to the Dining Hall (back of the gym) to give them your student’s number and your student will meet you there.
Middle Academy Events
Please do not drop off students on campus in the morning before carpool. If you need to drop off earlier than 7:40, please utilize the morning WINGS service.
Middle School carpool in the afternoon does not begin until 3:15. If you arrive earlier you will be asked to go to the back of the line. Students are in class until their release time of 3:15.
Students, during carpool you are to be seated in your classroom watching the screen for your carpool number to come up. Students are not to be in the hallways, standing up within the classroom, but waiting for your number to be displayed. Parents are not to arrive before 3:20. Students are to only be dismissed by your teacher to head to carpool when you both see your number come up. Any students seen at carpool without permission or prior to release time will face disciplinary action. Thank you for following the rules that have been in place for your safety.
Middle Academy Sports
When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office unless checking out another student that is not playing sports.
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
Middle School Basketball Tryouts
Middle School basketball tryouts will be held on Monday, November 3, and Tuesday, November 4.
Girls: 3:45–5:15 p.m. in the gym
Boys: 4:45–6:15 p.m. in the gym
Boys may stay after school in the dining hall with Coach T until their tryouts begin.
