CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to Addison Hurt on her acceptance to East Carolina University and to Reese Butler on receiving a full-ride scholarship to Davidson College valued at $368,000 over 4 years.

STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:

"December Character Trait of the Month: Adaptability. This month we’re focusing on adaptability—being flexible, adjusting to challenges, and staying positive when things change. If you know a peer who shows great adaptability, scan one of the purple QR codes around school to nominate them today!”

Our annual Shop with a Cop Dress Down Day will be held on Tuesday, December 9th. Students who bring a minimum donation of $4 will be allowed to dress down. Every dollar raised will be donated to the Zebulon Police Department to help brighten the holidays for local families in need! 

Members of the Zebulon Police Department will be on campus Tuesday morning to walk around and thank students for their support. *This is not part of the PTA Annual DDD pass.

Driver Eligibility Forms -  The last day to get a Driver Eligibility form before Winter Break is December 18th.  A parent will need to reach out to Mrs. Campbell prior to December 18th to receive the Driver Eligibility Form.  This form is only given out if your student has completed the Driver Ed class and driving portion.  A parent will have to come in and sign the form once it is ready.  Turn around time is 48 hours.    

SENIORS;

  • Seniors - we want to celebrate your achievements! Please remember to send Mrs. Ray and Ms. Shearin notifications of any college acceptance letters or scholarship offers you receive.Your accomplishments inspire our entire school community, and we'd love to recognize your hard work! Please let us know if we can put these acceptances in these announcements. 

YEARBOOK:

Attention high school parents and students: To assist the yearbook staff, they are looking for old elementary and middle school friend group shots of current high school students. If you have any of these photos, please send them to yearbook@eastwakeacademy.org or hand them to a yearbook staff member.

STUDENT SERVICES

  • If you are interested in applying for CCP classes next semester and are not already taking CCP classes, make sure you turn your applications in to Ms. Shearin by December 2. 

EWA NEWS: 

Lost and Found: High school lost items can be found in the plastic tote right outside the HS office.  Students can come down BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL or DURING LUNCH. All unclaimed items in the High School will be donated at the end of each month.. Gym lost and found will be in a container in the dining hall. Building 5/WINGS lost items will be in a container at the desk by the front entrance.  Items lost in the main building will be located right outside the office. 

CLUBS:

Eagle Ambassadors make up club pictures is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10th at 2:00pm Meet in Mrs. Cowards’ classroom. Please come in approved school attire.

Attention Book Club: we will meet at lunch this Friday to discuss A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Please bring your book with you so we can return them to the library.
