First Priority, our student-led Christian club, will begin on Wednesday August 19th for 5th and 6th graders, and Wednesday, August 26th for 7th and 8th graders during lunch in Miss Ludlum's room. First Priority student leaders will have leaders meetings on Wednesday August 5th and 12th during lunch in Mrs Watts room. For any questions, please email Miss Ludlum or Mrs Watt.
Have you ever thought about being part of the Middle Academy Student Council? Are you interested in learning more about what it means to be a leader? Plan to attend the MASC interest meeting to learn more on Thursday 8/13 in Spirit Hall during lunch. Please bring a positive attitude and your lunch but please limit heat ups as you don't want to miss the details. Contact Mrs. Jessica Berry or Tara Strickland if you have questions.
Lost and Found
Items lost in the main building will be located right outside the office. Students can come down BEFORE SCHOOL/HOMEROOM or DURING LUNCH. The gym lost and found will be in a container in the dining hall. Building 5/WINGS lost items will be in a container at the desk by the front entrance. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month.
Drop and Pick Up
No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
When arriving for AA pickup in the afternoons, please arrive @3:45 and stay in the right lane closest to the building ONLY.
If your student does not come out to carpool and you have looped around, please come in to the Dining Hall (back of the gym) to give them your student’s number and your student will meet you there.
Middle Academy Events
Please do not drop off students on campus in the morning before carpool. If you need to drop off earlier than 7:40, please utilize the morning WINGS service.
Middle School carpool in the afternoon does not begin until 3:15. If you arrive earlier you will be asked to go to the back of the line. Students are in class until their release time of 3:15.
Students, during carpool you are to be seated in your classroom watching the screen for your carpool number to come up. Students are not to be in the hallways, standing up within the classroom, but waiting for your number to be displayed. Parents are not to arrive before 3:20. Students are to only be dismissed by your teacher to head to carpool when you both see your number come up. Any students seen at carpool without permission or prior to release time will face disciplinary action. Thank you for following the rules that have been in place for your safety.
Middle Academy Sports
When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office unless checking out another student that is not playing sports.
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
If your student needs to stay after school before a game starts, they must go to WINGS. Students should be registered for WINGS online. An email must be sent to a WINGS teacher giving students permission to attend the sports event/game. An email must be sent each time or for each game/event.
Once students leave WINGS they need to be picked up at the game and are no longer the responsibility of WINGS. Please contact Lisa Davis at ldavis@eastwakeacademy.org for additional information.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
No Events
Please contact Coach Bowman if you have any questions. (bbowman@eastwakeacademy.org)
