Good morning, Senior Academy!

This Thursday, August 27th, is our first Dress Down Day of the school year.  Over the last 4 years, we've awarded 12 amazing seniors with a $1500 scholarship.  We hope to continue this tradition this year. All money raised during this week's Dress Down Day will go directly toward our EWA Booster Scholarships for the Class of 2027 Senior Athletes.

Our process is easy.....just bring $4 Thursday morning and dress down. Teachers are unable to make change so anything over $4 will be considered a donation.  We accept Cash or Checks made payable to EWA Boosters. If you need to combine payment for siblings, just include a note to each child's homeroom teacher. Thank you for supporting EWA Athletics.

Students - if you find VALUABLE items that do not belong to you, please turn them in to Mrs. Harris in the office, do not put them in the lost and found.

There are currently several items in the office that someone may be missing.

The lost and found is also full - if you are missing water bottles, lunch boxes, or clothing - please check the box today.

Juniors & Seniors - If you missed the Jostens meeting last week and have not picked up your information packet from the office, please do so today.

Students - UNLESS you have a work from home pass or are late arrival or early release - you must sign in or out at the office if you leave- even if you are a driver.  

**Mrs. Harris also needs an email from your parent if you will be signing yourself out (except for athletes on early dismissal days) Her email address is aharris@eastwakeacademy.org

Parents - please send, email, or upload to the Infinite Campus portal - notes when your child misses school due to appointments or illness so that the absence can be excused. They can be emailed to Mrs. Harris at aharris@eastwakeacademy.org. Thank you!

Parents - also be aware that when signing students out at the end of the day, 2:30 is the cutoff for being present for 4th period. If a student signs out between 1:45-2:30, they will be counted absent for 4th period.

Juniors and Seniors -  This Thursday,  August 27th, from 11:15 - 12:10  Jostens will be in the lobby outside Eagle Hall to take orders. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Campbell prior to these dates.

SENIORS

Mrs. Ray needs your help to make the yearbook one to remember. Please send a baby photo, a casual photo, and your senior quote to yearbook@eastwakeacademy.org no later than Sunday, September 13. 

1) baby photo - Send a photo of you as an infant or toddler, preferably by yourself.

2) a casual photo -Send a casual photo of yourself from the past year. This photo should be of ONLY you, and should not be from a distance.

3) your senior quote -Choose a quotation that represents you as a mature, high school senior. Do not choose inside jokes or quotations with inappropriate verbiage. Your quotation may be denied.

Any high schoolers interested in participating in our strength and conditioning program are welcome to attend sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-4:45 in the weight room in the gym. You must have an up to date physical turned in to Coach Bowman. Any in season athletes should not attend. If you were an EWA athlete last year and you are not in season, you are encouraged to attend.
