Week of July 25, 2021
What an exciting week ahead! We have Open House (Monday) and the first day of school (Wednesday). We are truly blessed to be returning to campus for complete face-to-face instruction. Our staff returned last week and have been amazing getting their classrooms ready for learning. This is truly going to be a magical year!
Open House: July 26 – Our Open House will be on campus, and we invite all families to attend. The format will be floating (meaning you pick the time you are here). Remember that this is a time to meet teachers, visit the campus, and see peers you have not seen in a while. It is not a time for individual conferences. You can schedule those with your child's teacher later.
· Elementary 3:30 – 5:00
· Middle Academy 4:30 – 6:00
· High School 5:30 – 7:00
Notice that times overlap so you do not have to leave campus or have an extended wait time if you have students in multiple HOUSES. ** Face Coverings are required for any individual that attends.
Face Coverings: Our board shared Face Covering Guidance on Friday. The new guidance does not go into effect until 5:01 pm Friday, July 30, 2021. Until that time – ALL students, staff, and visitors must wear a face-covering inside campus buildings.
Updated COVID protocols will be shared Tuesday via SwiftReach.
Athletics: All Fall Athletes, 6th-12th grade, interested in trying out for High School (Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, or Women's Women's Golf) and Middle School (Cross Country, Boys Soccer, or Volleyball). Please make sure you have a completed and up-to-date tryout packet ready by your tryout date below. The completed packet can be emailed to Coach Eason (ceason@eastwakeacademy.org) or given to your coach on day one of tryouts. This must be submitted to attend tryouts. Uniforms: Please review the uniform policy located on our website. Go ahead and get haircuts scheduled and get the hair color back to "natural" (meaning the color does grow out of your head and not from a bottle!).

Calendar: Our first day is July 28, and we need 100% attendance on the first day. Attendance is a huge part of our funding, and we need you on-campus on day 1!
