Middle Academy Announcements


Middle Academy Student Council Elections will be held on August 25th.

On August 26th we will have our first PAL Dress Down Day. Dress Down Day collection envelopes will be in your mailboxes by Monday for collection on Tuesday. Please collect during Homeroom Tuesday-Wednesday morning. Teachers will need to mark the students that pay on your class Dress Down list provided in your blue envelope. Turn in any Dress down money collected to Ms. Moore or Mrs. Boykin by 9:00 Wednesday morning. On Thursday morning you should receive your Dress Down wristbands for your students. Annual pass holders will be marked on your class dress down list.  Money will NOT be collected on the day of.  If you have any questions please contact me.

Middle Academy Events

Student Absences

If a student is absent due to a quarantine, they are marked present remotely. Initially on PowerSchool it will show unxecused but will be changed in the office within a week. Only the homeroom class will be adjusted. Please refrain from emailing Ms. Moore about the unexcused absence. If they are quarantined, it will be adjusted. Since students are marked present remotely, the following expectations are now in place effective 08/23/21.

 

Students in quarantine are expected to visit each classroom's Google Classroom for assignments for the day. Students are to complete the assignments posted by 11:59 for full credit for the day. The only exception to this would be those who are physically ill to the point that they are unable to complete work. Parents must communicate with teachers if this is the case

 

We believe that by establishing this expectation students can stay on the course with their classrooms and not have so much makeup work to complete when they return to campus. 

 

Don't forget to send those forms and money to join PAL.

 

When students are dropped off at carpool they need to report to their HOMEROOM/FIRST PERIOD teacher.  If you did not get a chance to stop by our table, be sure to head over to our website at ewapal.com. This is where you can join PAL as well as get your child's annual dress down pass. Cutoff for Dress Down Annual Passes are August 13th! Your child will be able to still participate by paying $4 on Tuesday or Wednesday the week of Dress Down. The first Dress Down Day is August 26th!!  Reminders will come out about that often as it approaches. When you join PAL you also are entered into our drawing for a $250 Visa gift card!!! Cutoff for joining to be entered is September 10th, you may continue to join after that date. A winner will be announced at our Back to School Bash on September 17th from 6-8. More information will come as this event gets closer. We look forward to seeing you at our first PAL meeting of the school year on August 23rd at 6pm in the Eagle Hall in the HS building. **When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance.  Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**

*Please note that masks are currently to be worn to campus and used during indoor sports.
