A Message from the Superintendent 9/13/2021

Week of September 12, 2021

Our time is counting down to fall track out.  We all need to finish strong.  After the Labor Day weekend, we have seen a rise in COVID cases and quarantines. We are making the best of a tough situation. We continue to rely on parents keeping students at home when they are sick or showing symptoms.  Unfortunately, this has not always been the case and the unintended consequence has been the quarantining of others.  We need to take care of each other.

We are so excited about being back on campus and we are doing what we do best – TEACH!  We do need parents to have conversations with your student about expectations, how to treat peers, and what is acceptable in school. The teachers and staff have been resetting expectations!

Mark your calendar:  Picture Days (more detailed information to come)

COVID Dashboard:  We post a daily DASHBOARD on FB, website, and Twitter. We are now providing a dashboard for each HOUSE (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12). Our five-county service area has returned to the "HIGH RISK" category for community transmission of COVID 19.  Our current mask mandate has helped the school combat the spread and reduce the number of students facing quarantine.

Face Coverings:  Our Board extended the REQUIREMENT for face masks.  All students, staff, and visitors are REQUIRED to wear a face mask.  The mask must cover both your mouth and nose.

Curriculum Supply Fund Reminder: As we return to full-time face-to-face instruction for the 2021-22 school year, your continued support of the classroom teacher and the resources they need to support your child's learning continue to be a priority for us all.  As a K-12 community, we are asking your family to be an active participant in the Curriculum Support Fund to help support and enhance the learning opportunities for all students.  There is a tiered level of support starting at $50.00 per student. If a family has more than one student, it is $25 for each additional student with a family maximum of $100.00.  My School Bucks, our online payment system, has been updated and is ready to take payments. There will be payment options to break the cost up over multiple months. 100% of your family's investment in your child's education will go to the classroom.  Thank you for your continued support.

The Curriculum Support Fund is used to support and enhance classroom learning opportunities that include subscriptions and consumable items that your child will use.

Supply Lists:  Please see website – posted under the parent tab
