Good Morning Senior Academy
Fall Trackout: September 27-October 11
This Friday is the last day before track out– Time to SHOW your school spirit
As we head into track out, the beginning of fall, and football season, let’s celebrate! This Friday will be “School Spirit Day.” Your student can wear their favorite college shirt or EWA t-shirt with their uniform bottoms. So, let’s head into our break showing some SPIRIT!
WHEN: Friday, September 24, 2021
WHAT: Spirit Day
HOW: Wear your favorite COLLGE Shirt or an EWA t-short with your normal uniform bottom
WHY: Just to have a great last day of the quarter!
Also, we will not have SMART Block on Friday and have a longer lunch instead.

CLUBS:
There will be a Theatre Club meeting TODAY, September 23, in room 211 starting at 11:50 (lunch). This meeting is for discussion and planning.
First Priority has a meeting in the Baker Center at lunch TODAY.
East Wake Academy is excited to offer a new international travel opportunity to students for the Summer of 2023 to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. All current students are eligible to travel, but space is limited so enroll now! Travelers enrolling this month will be able to take advantage of a risk-free enrollment period. Friday 9/24
- No events
Student staying for early Home Games in the gym, will need to stay in their carpool holding room until 3:45 before they can go directly to the gym. Any other athletic events students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger on campus after school.
"Attention all Winter Athletes, 9th-12th grade, who are interested in trying out for High School Cheer, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball. Please make sure you have a completed an up to date tryout packet ready by your tryout date below. The completed packet can be emailed to Coach Eason (ceason@eastwakeacademy.org) or given to your coach on day one of tryouts. This must be submitted to attend. - Women's Basketball @ EWA Gym, 3:45-5:45 pm
- Men's Basketball @ EWA Gym, 5:45-7:45 pm
Any student who wishes to tryout for the varsity girls basketball team needs to email Coach Bowman (bbowman@eastwakeacademy.org) by Thursday, he will add you to a google classroom so that you can receive information about upcoming workouts and tryout dates etc.
"Men's basketball will hold optional workouts over the following dates during track-out. Mask are required on campus"

Hispanic Heritage Month

Hola a todos,
This week, we will continue to celebrate Hispanic heritage month with a quote from Rigoberta Menchu who is a Nobel Peace Prize recipient from Guatemala who devoted her life to working for rights for the indigenous community following the Guatemalan war. She once said:
“Este mundo no cambiará a menos que estemos dispuestos a cambiar nosotros mismos.”
The world will not change unless we are willing to change ourselves.
