Good Morning Senior Academy

Welcome Back!

9 week grading period for enrichment opportunities, college visit requests,

virtual visits, scholarships, etc.

STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:

No SMARTBLOCK signup this week. Students stay in their 2^nd period class today – Thursday during this time. Friday no SMARTBLOCK instead there will be a long lunch 11:15-12:15.

SPORTS:

Congrats to Madi Wall, Sarah Howell and Trista Pope for qualifying for the regional golf championship that will be held next week.

"Attention all Winter Athletes, 9th-12th grade, who are interested in trying out for High School Cheer, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball. Please make sure you have a completed an up to date tryout packet ready by your tryout date below.  The completed packet can be emailed to Coach Eason (ceason@eastwakeacademy.org) or given to your coach on day one of tryouts.  This must be submitted to attend. Visit our athletic website (goewaeagles.org) and click the files/link tab to find the full tryout packet."

Hola a todos, 

This week, we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with a quote from

from the Hispanic musician Shakira who is world famous for her music.  She once said, 

“Siento un verdadero sentido del deber de usar la voz y la plataforma que me ha dado mi fama para hablar por aquellos cuyas voces no tienen la oportunidad de ser escuchado.”

I feel a real sense of duty to use the voice and the platform I've been afforded by my fame to speak out for those whose voices don't get a chance to be heard.
