Spring Dance: A Night of All That Jazz Friday, April 8th from 6:00-8:30
*Tickets will be sold during lunch in Spirit Hall on Tuesday April 5th and April 6th for 5.00. If you miss these days, tickets can be purchased at the door for $7.00. Students may also pre-order a Chick-Fil-A sandwich for 5.00 along with their ticket. Please bring exact change. No food orders or tickets will be pre-sold after end of day April 6th. Lost and Found You can check our lost and found website at https://ewalostandfound.weebly.com/
Drop and Pick Up No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
SPOTLIGHT ON Middle Academy Staff
This week’s staff spotlights are
Ms. Moore, Mrs. Risner, and Ms. Thomas!
Darlene Moore is our awesome administrative assistant. She greets every person that comes through the door. Ms. Moore attended Wake Tech and Edgecombe Community Colleges. She loves peach gummy rings and enjoys dinner at Bahama Breeze. In her free time, Ms. Moore enjoys spending time with her children and fur grandbabies.
Emily Risner is our 5th grade ELA teacher. She attends Appalachian State University. Her favorite store is the Lego store. For snacks she enjoys almond joy, chocolate chip cookies, kit kats and twix. Mrs. Risner spends a lot of time reading and sewing.
Skylar Thomas is our 7th grade science teacher. Ms. Thomas is a graduate of East Carolina University. Her favorite snacks include green grapes, pretzels and Reese's cups. She enjoys eating chick fil a and shopping at Target. She loves to spend her free time outdoors.
Please congratulate this phenomenal group of faculty for being a Spotlight on campus!!
Middle Academy Events
MS Ensemble auditions for the 2022-2023 school year will be held on March 14th (week before track out) at 3:45 pm-5:30 PM in the middle school dance room.
Been on a cool vacation with your middle school kid? Mrs. Coward and her yearbook class would like for you to send a photo that highlights "travels with your middle school student."
If possible, please send a photo where you can tell the location of your vacation. For instance, you took a shot of your family while at Disney World and Cinderella's castle is in the background. Please send to dcoward@eastwakeacademy.org
Middle school parents- the EWA yearbook staff are looking for photos of middle school students with their favorite pets.
Please send photos of your middle school student with their pet. Include the name and grade level of the student and the name of the pet. We are looking for a variety of photos so if you have fish, turtles, hamsters, etc, please send them as well.
The yearbook staff is also looking for photos of our middle school students on vacation.

Middle Academy Sports Events
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
