Dress Down Day is Thursday March 10th. Collections will be taken on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

*Tickets will be sold during lunch in Spirit Hall on Tuesday April 5th and April 6th for $5.00. If you miss these days, tickets can be purchased at the door for $7.00.
Students may also pre-order a Chick-Fil-A sandwich for $5.00 along with their ticket. Please bring exact change. No food orders or tickets will be pre-sold after the end of day April 6th. See the poster LINK for more information.

Drop and Pick Up No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
March STAR Students of the Month
5th Grade
Clara Owen is our 5th grade student of the month!! Clara loves to LEARN! She carefully performs hands-on labs and demonstrations. She encourages others and asks questions to better understand concepts. She has excelled in this quarter's lab activities in science. She is a model Rise Up student! Clara has a witty sense of humor and loves to make others smile.
6th Grade
Brooklyn Jamieson is the student of the month for 6th grade!! Brooklyn is a bright ray of sunshine to have in the homeroom and in class. She is always the first one to offer a helping hand to her teachers and classmates. She always volunteers to answer questions and is excited about learning. She is a friend to everyone. Brooklyn has been writing a bonus chapter for Bud, Not Buddy. 6th grade- get excited to read Chapter 20 written by our very own Brooklyn Jamieson! In her free time, Brooklyn loves to dance and loves the dance elective here at EWA!
7th Grade
Robbie Johnston represents our 7th grade student of the month!! Robbie has a great sense of humor and brings a positive can-do attitude into the classroom every day. He constantly has a smile and enjoys making other people laugh. Robert Lewis Johnston the 3rd loves sports! His favorite is baseball for sure. He also enjoys spending time talking to his friends and living his best life.
8th Grade
Jesse Moore is our 8th grade student of the month!! Jesse is new to EWA this year. He has really overcome a lot of obstacles being a new student. Jesse is a sweetheart. He comes to school ready to work. He always thinks about others in his class.The electives and ECSC staff have seen him make great strides within his classroom on meeting his goals, as well as make great progress in his art elective and in his participation with his peers in PE. It truly is magical to watch him grow and improve daily here at EWA. Jesse really is an inspiration to all students and staff. Jesse loves hanging out outside, riding his four wheeler and going out into the woods to his pond to explore for animals. He just loves being a BIG brother.
SPOTLIGHT ON Middle Academy Staff
This week’s staff spotlights are
Mr. Mason, Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Rusho!!!
Mr. Mason serves as an instructional assistant in our intervention classroom. He also serves as a coach in the middle academy for basketball and baseball. Mr. Mason works well with our students and is a mentor to many.
Mrs. Roberts is one of our PE coaches on campus. She attended Lee University. She enjoys shopping at Old Navy . Some of her favorite snacks include cool ranch doritos, sour patch watermelon and pineapple. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog as well as going to dinner with friends.
Mrs. Rusho is our 7th grade English Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Rusho is an avid reader and writer. She attended Kennesaw State and Lincoln Memorial Universities. She likes to shop at Wal-Mart and eat dinner at Golden Corral or Olive Garden. Some of her favorite snacks include pretzels, veggies, gummies, kiwi and apples. In her free time she enjoys reading, Kayaking, and spending time with her family.

Middle Academy Events
Emergency Lunches Needed
MS Ensemble auditions for the 2022-2023 school year will be held on March 14th (week before track out) at 3:45 pm-5:30 PM in the middle school dance room.
Middle Academy Sports Events
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
