A Message from the Superintendent March 7th 2022

Week of March 6, 2022:

We have ten great days left in the 3rd quarter. The weather is changing, masks have become "recommended," and we are excited about the future. As required by the legislature, the board did vote to continue with the “mask recommend" mandate they enacted at the end of February. We need to make sure that we all finish the quarter strong as we head into Spring Track Out!

WIGGIN’ Week (March 14-18):

As many of you may know, Mr. Wiggins will retire on Friday, March 18.  We have decided to name the week of March 14-18-WIGGIN"’ WEEK!  We will give the students, parents, and staff time to celebrate him throughout the week.  Please see the dates below and how you can help us celebrate Mr. Wiggins:

Monday- March 14: We would like students to bring in a TREAT for Mr. Wiggins.  It can be a handwritten card, a drawing of Mr. Wiggins at school, or one of his favorite treats.  We want him to know that it has been a TREAT to have him at EWA! (Mr. Wiggins likes EVERYTHING, but some of his favorites are: Almond Joy, Snickers, Nabs and Bojangles).  We will have him out by carpool so that the students can stop by and give him a treat as they head to class.

Tuesday & Wednesday: We have plans for our staff to celebrate Mr. Wiggins

Thursday- March 17: We will have a parade for students and staff honoring Mr. Wiggins.  We encourage students to wear YELLOW shirts with uniform bottoms for the parade.  We would love for the kids to make signs to hold up at the parade to celebrate him and his 20 years of service to EWA.

Friday- March 18:  We invite parents to join us by the flagpole in front of the K-4 building on Friday morning AFTER carpool.  This will be a time for parents to say their goodbyes and well wishes.  There will also be a gift that parents will be presenting to him at this time.

Thank you in advance for anything that you will do to help us celebrate such an incredible man!
