STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:
Attention 11th-grade students: The American Legion post in Wendell, NC is looking for nominations for the Boys' State week-long retreat scheduled for June 19-25, 2022. At Boys State, participants learn the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of franchised citizens. The training is objective and centers on the structure of the city, county, and state governments. Operated by students elected to various offices, Boys State activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law-enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, choruses, and recreational programs. Students who participate in Boys' State are eligible for scholarships. If you would like to be nominated, please meet with Mrs. Naftel this week. Nominations are due to the American Legion on April 11th. Details are also posted within the 11th Grade Google Classroom.
Attention Juniors and Seniors, due to a potential scheduling conflict with Spring Sports, the date for Prom has been changed to Thursday, May 12th. May 12th is a school day and the High School Awards Ceremony is scheduled for that morning from 9am until 11am. Juniors and Seniors attending the Prom will be allowed to sign out after the awards ceremony. Please keep in mind that Prom is a school event and to attend Prom you are required to be present at school that day. Friday, May 13th there is no school for students. More info regarding Prom and High School Awards to come after track-out.
Dodgeball Announcement: NHS and Student Council are hosting a Dodgeball Tournament Thursday, April 14th at 3:45 until 8pm. Registration will happen from today, March 15th until the day of the tournament during lunch. Please return the forms back to the members at lunch or give to Mrs. Nettles or Mr. Raynor. To enter into the tournament, you must have a team of 6 players and each team must have the required amount of $20 at the gate on the tournament day. Students will need to bring additional money to buy their way back into the game. It will be $1 for the first buy in, with $2 for each additional buy in afterwards. Concessions will be provided for additional costs. The winning team will get to play a faculty team and win a wonderful prize. Looking forward to seeing you out on the court!

Teacher Appreciation Week: At EWA, we believe we should celebrate our teachers all year long, and we have tried hard to do that this year. But we also feel that we should celebrate them in a BIG way for Teacher Appreciation Week- May 2nd -6th.
BOOK FAIR
Spring Book Fair will be from Thursday, April 21, through Friday, April 29. During school days, the campus Book Fair will ONLY be open to Students. On Saturday, April 23, the book fair will be open for families to come in and shop from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. You may also shop online at our school's Virtual Book Fair.
