Middle Academy Announcements
The last Dress Down Day of the school year will be on Thursday May 5, 2022. Collections will be done in homeroom ONLY next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Scholastic Book Fair is back on campus from Thursday, April 21st through Friday, April 29th in Building 4 Media Center. Mrs. Barnhill has reserved before school for Middle School students, but you MUST get permission from your teacher prior to coming. You may also come during your lunchtime. This is only open to students!
There is also an online fair that runs from Wednesday, April 20th through Tuesday, May 3rd. Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! SPOTLIGHT ON Middle Academy Staff
This week’s staff spotlights are Mrs. DeJong, Mrs. Purvis, and
Mrs. Warren
Mrs. DeJong is our 5th Grade Math teacher. She graduated from Grand Valley State University. Her favorite snacks are popcorn and anything chocolate, especially chocolate with almonds! She enjoys eating at Chic fil a and shopping at Target. In her free time she enjoys having family time, running, hiking, and going to church.
Mrs. Purvis is our EC Self Contained teacher. She has a deep passion for working with these students and could not get away from it if she tried. She received studies from ECSU and WPU. Her favorite snacks are Funyuns and Turtles Candy. In her free time she loves to sleep.
Mrs. Warren is our Computers and Technology teacher. She is so great at what she does and ALL the students love her! She studied at UNC Pembroke and ECU. Her favorite snacks are grapes and a Heath bar. She enjoys shopping at Target and eating at Southlands. In her spare time she likes to watch TV and to exercise.

Drop and Pick Up No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.

Middle Academy Sports Events
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
