Welcome Senior Academy Parents and Guardians:
I hope this message finds you doing well and above all, remaining safe. As the start of the school year rapidly approaches, I wanted to take a moment and welcome our families back for the 2022-2023 school year! This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of East Wake Academy in 1998. We are stronger than ever before as a result of our many accomplishments. "#EWA25" will be our new hashtag for the 2022-2023 school year.
Our dynamic teaching staff is ready to provide your child with all of the tools necessary to succeed in the coming school year. Ms. Lisa Davis (Administrative Intern) and Ms. Kriston Haynes (Math) have joined our team. They were on the Middle Academy's eighth-grade team last year and will tremendously help our freshmen as they transition to high school. We currently have a vacancy in our Science department, but we can assure you that we are looking for the best candidate to be a good fit for our school.
The High School Open House will be Monday, July 25th, between 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. This will be a floating open house to pick up schedules and visit classrooms.
Please note the following pertinent information concerning parking and off-campus lunch passes:
Campus Parking:
Due to increased class sizes, availability is based on seniority. In the 2022-2023 school year, parking spaces on a student’s grade level will be assigned and the time-stamped (first come, first given) applications successfully completed. Therefore, only students who will be Juniors or Seniors during the 2022-2023 school year are eligible to apply. (If you are a Junior or Senior with a current driver’s license and want to go on a waiting list – for a parking spot - please go ahead and fill out the Parking application.)
Student parking pass priorities are Seniors, then Juniors and if spaces remain, others. The parking fee for the Senior Lot is $100 (Seniors), $50 (Early Graduates Only), and $50 (Juniors) for the North Campus Gravel lot. Successfully completed applications will be confirmed via email.
To pick up your Parking Hanger on July 20-22, HS Open House, or the First day of school, a student must:
- Successfully complete the Parking Application by July 25, 2022
- Pay the Parking Pass fee online through myschoolbucks.com. (Select your Senior Lot yearlong ($100) - Seniors eligible. Senior Lot Early Graduate Only ($50) - Seniors eligible. Fence Parking Lot ($50) - Juniors or Seniors eligible. $10.00 lost tags
Note: Providing false information will result in a disqualifying application for a 2022-2023 parking spot.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dawn Ray at dray@eastwakeacademy.org.
(Payment online or submitting the Parking Registration, will not guarantee a spot. Due
to increased class sizes and limited on-campus spots, availability is based on seniority and a first come first serve basis.)
Seniors and Juniors Off-Campus Lunch Pass (OCL):
Off-Campus Lunch Pass (OCL) form (see attached), as well as printed copies, will be made in the HS office and available during HS Open House. Submitted signed forms are required in order to acquire a 2022-2023 OCL. Passes will be available for pick up on the first day of school from homeroom teachers. (There is a replacement fee of $10.00 for a lost off-campus pass. Duplicate passes may be purchased in the High School office and will require 24 hours for the new pass to be ready for pickup.)
