Hello to the wonderful families of East Wake Academy!
My name is Christy Elliott and I am the new school nurse. I am thrilled to be a part of this school and I am excited to dive into my new role. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of you in the past couple of weeks, but since I have not met all of you, I wanted to formally introduce myself.
Just a little background about me. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2006 with my BSN. Go Pirates! I went back a few years later and graduated with my Master’s in Nursing Education in 2010. Most of my background has been in Neonatal nursing which I have loved. I have also taught nursing clinical for East Carolina University and Johnston Community College. I have been a nurse educator, a pediatric sickle cell case manager and more recently a CPR instructor.
I am married to Jeff and we have two (mostly) sweet kiddos (Colin and Amelia) and we live in Wendell. I love our small community and we stay busy with our church activities, baseball, dance, boy scouts, and soccer.
Again, I am so excited to be a part of the staff here and I have really enjoyed meeting your children. I look forward to a happy, healthy and safe school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for any needs, questions, or clarification.
Thank You and Stay Well
Nurse Christy
