Good Morning Senior Academy

Let’s wish Ms. Barkley a Happy Birthday today!

STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:

"Student Council Speeches will be this Thursday, August 18th at 2pm during the start of 4th period. All prospective class presidents and officers who are giving speeches will need to check in with their 4th period teachers prior to meeting Mr. Raynor on the bridge outside the Baker Center at 1:45. 

Voting for all positions will follow in your 4th period class with winners being announced at the end of the day."


Locker Assignments are posted:

 (Students are responsible for the Locker assigned to them) Locks are strongly recommended.


Attention students enrolled in CCP classes: Your classes will begin Monday August 15. Be sure to check your Nash email daily for updates for your classes.


SENIORS:

Seniors and Senior Parents and Guardians: Senior meeting provided lots of important information concerning Senior year, academics and graduation. Please CLICK HERE to access the presentation.

There are spots left in the Senior parking lot. Seniors if you are interested in parking on campus this year and have not purchased a spot See Mrs. Ray TODAY. You have until August 31 to request and purchase a spot. You have to have a parking tag to park on campus.

Graduation and Information:

  • August 24th 10:55 to 11:30 - Seniors meet with Jostens - Graduation Stuff
  • August 31st - 11:15 - 12:15 Jostens will be in HS taking orders for Class Rings and Graduation Stuff

Please be sure to access the senior google classroom and fill out the Senior College Questionnaire that was posted yesterday. This questionnaire is designed to gauge your interest in getting assistance and support when choosing the right college or program for you and filling out the applications and paperwork that may be a bit confusing. Please fill this out even if you do not need assistance regarding your future plans. If you note that you need assistance, Ms. Griswold will send you a link to schedule an individual meeting. All college-related questions can be emailed to pgriswold@eastwakeacademy.org

EWA News:

EF Tours

EWA is excited to partner up with EF again to continue to offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences abroad for our students! We still have a few slots left on our Germany, Italy and Switzerland trip for Summer 2023 and are excited to announce our Spain and Portugal trip for 2024! There will be an interest meeting on the 18th, at 6:30-7:30 via Zoom. Please RSVP if you are able to attend or would like information sent! See Shafer for more info!

First Priority meet on Thursdays at lunch in the Baker Center. All are welcome.  


SPORTS:

"Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for starting the season off by defeating last year’s state finalist Neuse Charter 3-1 last night! The team is back on the court Wednesday night at Franklin Academy for a conference match. Good luck ladies!"

“Congratulations to the men’s soccer team for opening the season up with a 6-0 win over TMSA. Trey Philpot lead the way with 3 goals. Angelo Husted, Ian Murillo, and Jayden Jones each had a goal. Great start to the year guys!”

"Any athlete interested in JV or varsity baseball is invited to an optional workout on August 16th at Pilot Lions Park from 4-6 pm.  Please contact Coach Eason if you have any questions"
