Dear EWA Families,
We are happy to announce that we are able to offer our Test To Stay option again. We are now resuming our on campus COVID testing program at EWA.
This is OPTIONAL: We are offering this as a service to our families to try and keep students in school.
Last year, East Wake Academy was approved as a State COVID testing site for our students and staff. This year, we have continued to partner with MAKO Medical, the State vendor for our area.
This “Test to Stay” policy allows us to test a student who is symptomatic while on campus.
The testing program is fully automated. Once we test the student and input the results, you will receive a message from MAKO through their COQUI system (text and email). To help us with this program, we are asking our families to complete the online registration to opt into the program. Even if you were registered last year, you MUST register in the new system for this year.

You will click Dependent Registration and then will be able to add each of your children.

The final page is a confirmation message.
This is very basic and should take no more than 5 minutes. This system will help streamline our testing. We highly recommend pre-registering so if your child is ever symptomatic at school, it will help speed up the process. You will always be contacted prior to your child being tested even if you pre-register. We hope you never have to be tested but are excited to be able to re-offer on-site testing to help reduce the spread on campus.
