EWA NEWS:
EWA Golf Tournament: The EWA Annual Golf Tournament is back and will be held on October 21st. More information will be sent soon. If you would like to participate or sponsor the event, please contact Candy Weatherspoon. cweatherspoon@eastwakeacademy.org
CLUBS:
Spanish Club will meet Wednesday at lunch in Shafer's room.
FBLA will meet at lunch Friday Sept 16 at lunch in Mrs Warren's room to discuss the Regional Competition.
Due to a high number of preorders Student Council will no longer be accepting pre orders for donuts. If you missed out on preorders, we will have a limited number reserved to sell on Friday, September 16th in the morning and during lunch while supplies last.
Donuts will cost $10 for a dozen and $1 for individual donuts. Payment will be due at the time of order. If you pre ordered, donuts will be delivered to your first period teacher or picked up from Mr. Raynor on the 16th. Please bring exact change if you are using cash. Card payments will be also be accepted.
If you have any other questions please talk with Mr. Raynor or any of your Student Council
Theatre Club will meet in room 211 on Tuesday, September 20, during lunch.
SPORTS:
“Congrats to the Varsity Girls Golf team and their conference win yesterday at Zebulon Country club. Addison Hurt had the low score on the day with a 36, Reagan Eatman shot a 45, Trista Pope shot a 54 and Vi Broadfoot shot a 56. The golf team looks to continue their success Wednesday, when they travel to Olde Liberty golf club for their 3rd conference match of the season.”
Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team on their definitive defeat of the NC School of Science and Math team yesterday. The lady Eagles' stellar offense and solid defense led them to another straight sets victory improving their record to 9 and 1. They will face NCSSM again on Thursday in Durham. Go Eagles!

The EWA Booster Club is excited to announce that we will be having a DRESS DOWN
DAY THIS Thursday, September 15th. The funds raised by this DDD will go towards
our first ever EWA Booster Club College Scholarship(s).
Students planning to participate will Booster DRESS DOWN and bring in $4.00 on the morning of 9/15/22. Students will give their $4.00 to their HOMEROOM teacher.
