Good Morning Senior Academy

STUDENTS STAY UPDATED: 

There will be a CCP information night on Tuesday October 18 at 6pm. Representatives from Nash and Wake Tech Community Colleges will present information about their programs and answer any questions. 10th graders interested in taking CCP classes next school year are recommended to attend.

High School Homecoming Spirit Week; October 31- November 4, 2022

This year’s days include:

  • Adam Sandler Monday,
  • BBQ Dads and Chads vs. Sharons and Karens Day Tuesday,
  • Music Day Wednesday,
  • Aloha vs. Western Day Thursday,
  • Color Wars Friday.

Spirit Week is a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity and school spirit through their participation!

In North Carolina, all tenth-graders take the PreACT. This assessment measures what students have learned in their courses and helps educators identify the information they still need to learn to succeed in college or a career. Your child is scheduled to take the PreACT on Tuesday, October 18th. Please make sure your child is in attendance on that date.


EWA NEWS:

The Knightdale Police Dept. will be holding a Live Like Ryan Community Day of Remembrance day on Oct. 15th from 10-4pm.  There will be food trucks, vendors and children's activities.  EWA will help host the children's events including color sheets, arts and crafts, bubbles, face painting, etc.  This is a great way to remember one of our very own students but also support our community as a whole.  #EWA25


CLUBS:

There will be a Diversity club meeting in the Baker Center on Monday during lunch! See you there!

Spanish club will meet in Shafer's Room on Wednesday during lunch

FBLA permission slips for the Regional Conference and Competition are due Wednesday Oct 12 to Mrs. Warren.  If you are competing you will receive your study guides via email within the next week.  The competition is scheduled for Saturday December 10 at Enloe High School.  Our next meeting will be Friday Oct 21 at lunch in Warren's room.  


SPORTS:

Congrats to our varsity girls golf team. They finished 2nd in the conference for the regular season and 3rd in the conference tournament. Addison Hurt finished 2nd in the conference as an individual. Also congrats to Trista Pope on a great senior season! The team will travel to Goldsboro Monday for the regional.”

The Varsity Volleyball team lost a hard fought match last night to Falls Lake. This was their final regular season game, and they finished 2nd in the conference. They will play their first conference tournament game at home on Monday! Great season ladies and good luck next week! Go Eagles! 

The cross country team performed very well yesterday. On the girls side we had a new personal record for Kelsey Shumsky. On the boys side we had 10 new personal records. Jackson Brown,Jayden Foreman,Jordan Driver,Carsen Creech,Seth Mullen,Sebastian Lopez,Sean Hook,Rayne Quintana,Daniel Seiler, Brennan Mogolnicki and Ryan Halterman. Keep it up!!!!

"Attention all Winter Athletes, 9th-12th grade, who are interested in trying out for High School Cheer, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball. Please make sure you have a completed and up to date tryout packet ready by your tryout date below.  The completed packet will be given to your coach on day one of tryouts.  This must be submitted to attend. Visit our athletic website (goewaeagles.org) and click the files/link tab to find the full tryout packet."
