EWA NEWS:

Next Wednesday 10/26 is K-11 Uniform Picture Retake/Make-up Day. Any student that was absent on the original picture day (8/31) will need to have their picture taken on 10/26 in order for them to be included in the yearbook. If students/parents did not like their previous picture they can also choose to have them retaken. If they previously purchased pictures, they will need to bring them on 10/26 and return to the photographer. Times for HS pictures will be posted by Friday.

SENIORS: If you need to have your senior TUX and DRAPE picture taken (for the yearbook) or retaken, please see Mrs. Ray BEFORE this Friday and be prepared to take your photo on Wednesday, October 26. All seniors must be photographed for the yearbook.

**Guardians and Parents: This is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY. It is almost Re-enrollment time! This year's Re-enrollment for the 2023 - 2024 school year begins November 7th at 8:00 am and ends November 18th at 12 noon. Every student that is enrolled at EWA will need to complete this process. Please do not wait until the deadline to start the process. Every parent should already have a Parent Portal account set up in PowerSchool. This is the only way to get into the Re-enrollment System. Sibling(s) not attending EWA can apply in January (more information to come).

If you do not have a parent account for PowerSchool (username and password), or if you can not access your account, please get in touch with Mrs. Campbell TODAY! The best way to contact her is through email at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org. Again, the deadline for Re-enrollment is November 18th at noon. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you do not complete the re-enrollment by the deadline, you forfeit your students spot at EWA and will have to apply in January for the Lottery. If you know you will not be returning, please let Kim Campbell know (kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org).

SPORTS:

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team on their exciting win against NCSSM last night. Smart play and a raucous student section helped them defeat the unicorns for the third time this season. They now advance to the conference tournament championship today at Falls Lake. They will also play in the first round of the state playoffs either Friday or Saturday, so stay tuned to find out the day and time for that game which will be here at EWA. Good luck ladies! Go EAGLES!!!

"Congrats to the Varsity Girls Golf team. They finished 2nd in the region in Monday's tournament and will head to the State Championship on Monday and Tuesday next week at Foxfire. Freshman Addison Hurt finished first place in the region shooting a 78 while her teammates Trista Pope and Reagan Eatman had standout performances as well. "
