EWA NEWS:

Attention students interested and eligible to take Driver Ed Class: Class signup is now available. (no printed forms) Please use the link https://jordandriving.com/east-wake-academy/ to sign up for the Virtual Winter Trackout Drivers Ed class (This is the only way to register for the Winter track out class and once spots are filled the system will not accept any more.) Parents/Guardians please READ and then follow the instructions.  This is set up so older students get priority the first week of registration (16 and 17 yr olds) and the 15 and younger can register starting the second week until seats are filled.  This link is also available on the Jordan Driving school website.

**Guardians and Parents: This is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY. It is almost Re-enrollment time! This year's Re-enrollment for the 2023 - 2024 school year begins November 7th at 8:00 am and ends November 18th at 12 noon. Every student that is enrolled at EWA will need to complete this process. Please do not wait until the deadline to start the process. Every parent should already have a Parent Portal account set up in PowerSchool. This is the only way to get into the Re-enrollment System. Sibling(s) not attending EWA can apply in January (more information to come).

If you do not have a parent account for PowerSchool (username and password), or if you can not access your account, please get in touch with Mrs. Campbell TODAY! The best way to contact her is through email at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org. Again, the deadline for Re-enrollment is November 18th at noon. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.  If you do not complete the re-enrollment by the deadline, you forfeit your students spot at EWA and will have to apply in January for the Lottery. If you know you will not be returning, please let Kim Campbell know (kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org).

CLUBS:

High School First Priority is hosting a school wide food drive for the month of November. The Raleigh Dream Center is in need of grains and rice but will also accept canned foods, cereals, and pastas.  A box will be in the lobby of each EWA house for you to drop off your donated items. As Thanksgiving Day approaches let’s serve others in our community by providing them with a thanksgiving meal.

Debate Club Meeting is on Nov 1st at lunchtime in Mrs. McFadden's room.
