High School First Priority is hosting a school wide food drive for the month of November. The Raleigh Dream Center is in need of grains and rice but will also accept canned foods, cereals, and pastas. A box will be in the office to drop off your donated items. As Thanksgiving Day approaches let’s serve others in our community by providing them with a thanksgiving meal.

Middle Academy Events
The Scholastic Book Fair is back on campus from December 2nd through December 9th in Building 4 Media Center. Mrs. Barnhill has reserved before school for Middle School students, but you MUST get permission from your teacher prior to coming. You may also come during your lunchtime. There will be a family event on Tuesday, December 6th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
In the past, the school has not had to charge tax for purchases. This year Scholastic Book Fairs is requiring East Wake Academy to charge tax. The tax rate for Wake county is 7.25%. If paying in cash, please try to have the exact amount of the total cost. If you do not have the exact amount the total will be rounded to the nearest dollar amount. The change will be a donation to buy books for the media center. (Example: If the total is $5.35 it will be rounded to $6.00, and $0.65 will be donated to the media center). It is strongly encouraged to use the eWallet option for students.
There is also an online fair that runs from November 28th through December 11th. Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/eastwakeacademy2

It is best to complete on a computer, other devices may not be able to see all information needed.
If you have more than one student, you will click on each student's name at the top.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs Campbell at the email address above. Please let Mrs. Campbell know if you will not be returning so she can remove you from getting emails regarding Re-Enrollment. Have a wonderful week.
Carpool Reminder: All students must be dropped off through morning carpool. Parents cannot park and walk students up in the morning. This is for the safety of all students and families.
Carpool Preparedness: Please ensure your student is ready to quickly exit the car in the mornings. They should have their bookbags on and be ready to help speed up the process. Thanks for your help with this.
Tardies Your child is tardy if they are not seated in their homeroom by 8:15 am daily. Even if the carpool line is still running, your child will be marked tardy if they do not arrive at their homeroom and be seated by 8:15 am. Carpool begins at 7:35 each morning. Again, we will allow students to be dropped off in the carpool line up until 8:15; however, if they are not in class by 8:15, they will be marked tardy. Should your child arrive after 8:15, they must sign in with Ms. Moore at the front desk of middle academy. EWA’s Middle Academy Tardy Policy is linked.

Middle Academy Sports Events
High School Basketball Ticket News: As we kick off our first home basketball games of the year we wanted all students and spectators to be aware of the conference bylaw changes to ticket pricing. Spectators will be $6 and students will be $3. One purchased ticket does cover all games happening on the night that the ticket is purchased.
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
