Good Morning Senior Academy

 

 

REQUESTS:

High school is in need of paper bowls, paper plates, spoons, forks and napkins. Please send these items to the HS front office. Thank you for your support!

 

STUDENTS STAY UPDATED: 

"Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors - schedule planning for next school year has begun. Check your email to access the elective class inventory form sent to you by Ms. Griswold. Please follow the directions and choose the elective classes you are interested in taking. This form must be completed by Dec 9th."

 

"if you are missing your lunch from My Hot Lunchbox or have any problems with your order, please notify Mrs. Ray immediately"

 

EWA NEWS: 

This Friday we will hold our annual Shop with a Cop to help support the Zebulon Police Department.  This dress down day is separate from PAL or Boosters- THERE IS NO SET AMOUNT.  ANY donations are appreciated that students bring into the HS office on Friday morning. These donations will be presented to ZPD when they stop by right after carpool to say thank you to the students.  Please DO NOT STRESS- everyone can dress down but we would love to collect as much as possible. 

 

With the weather getting cooler students are wearing their winter apparel (jackets, gloves, hats, etc) Please make sure you are putting students' names on all items and visiting our website https://ewalostandfound.weebly.com/ for missing items. This website is updated daily.

 

CLUBS:

Spanish club will meet TODAY at lunch in Shafer's room

 Spanish club will be selling Christmas treat bags with Hispanic candies at the half circle during lunch for $3 beginning Thursday through exams.

Human Rights Day is observed by the international community every year on December 10th. The Unity Club would like to remind you of the human rights we enjoy in our country. A few of them include:

 

  • The right to an education

 

  • The right to vote in elections once you reach the voting age

 

and

 

  • The right to have your own thoughts, beliefs, and religion

 

Make sure you sign your name on a link as a symbol of our appreciation and respect for one another and our human rights.

 

 

 

SPORTS:

Boosters Toy Drive-  EWA Athletics will be hosting a Toy Drive next Wednesday and Thursday.  All parents, spectators, and students can bring a new unwrapped toy to the games on Wednesday (12/7 HS event) and/or Thursday (12/8 MA event) and receive FREE admission. 

 

Reminder: "High School Basketball Ticket News: All students and spectators to be aware of the conference bylaw changes to ticket pricing. Spectators will be $6 and students will be $3. One purchased ticket does cover all games happening on the night that the ticket is purchased. "

EXAMS and HS Tests:

We want to make sure that everyone is clear on the following:

End-of-Course (EOC) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Exams - are final exams that are state regulated. Teacher Made Exams (TME) - are final exams made by the teacher (in some cases may be a final project).

 All final exams/projects count for 20% of the student's final grade. Students must be present on exam days. If a student does not have an EOC or CTE test, their last day of school is Friday, December 9th, 2022.

 December 8th: 

1st Period TME -   8:15 - 10:15

Snack Break -        10:15 - 10:30

3rd period TME-    10:30 - 12:30

Lunch                      12:30 - 1:15

2nd period                1:15-2:15

4th period                2:20-3:15

 

December 9th:

2nd Period TME-  8:15 - 10:15

Students are only to attend school, after Friday, December 9th, 2022, if they have a EOC or CTE.  Students must arrive by 8:00am and be in uniform as EOC testing begins promptly at 8:30am.  All students must be picked up from school by 12:30pm.

December 12-15 Testing:  8:15 – 12:15 - These tests are State mandated– students must take these tests in order to receive credit for the course!  All other students are not required to attend school during State testing. 

Monday, December 12:         English II EOC and Accounting CTE         

Tuesday, December 13:        Math 1 EOC / Math 3 EOC

Wednesday, December 14:   Biology EOC
