Senior Academy Announcements
February 8, 2022
Good Morning Senior Academy
This week is National Counselors Week which is a time to focus on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system. We want to thank Ms. Naftel for her great work and advocate for our students!
COUNSELOR’S CORNER: - Notes from Mrs. Naftel - snaftel@eastwakeacademy.org
Good Morning! It’s day 2 of National School Counseling Week. Our focus this week is collaboration and almost every day I am working with Mr. Johnson and Mr. Gay to support you all. Our ultimate goal is to keep students safe and provide a quality education. Sometimes we have different ideas when working towards a solution. When that happens, we find ways to compromise. General Colin Powell said, “Never lose sight of the need to reach out and talk to people who don’t share your view. Listen to them and see if you can find a way to compromise.”
Don’t compromise your values, but how can you expand your knowledge and understanding by listening to someone else? I encourage you to challenge yourself to seek out other opinions. What you’ll find out is that you end up with a better solution – one that comes from a collaboration of perspectives. Wishing everyone a great Tuesday!
CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to Tanasia Yelverton on her acceptance to Meredith College
