Good Morning Senior Academy
This week is National Counselors Week which is a time to focus on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system. We want to thank Ms. Naftel for her great work and advocate for our students!

Good Morning! It is Day 3 of National School Counseling Week and as you know the theme of this week is Better Together. I rely heavily on your teachers and partner with them in order to provide support for you. When you encounter issues that are more than you can handle, I hope you feel comfortable enough to reach out to both myself and your teachers. We only want you to be successful and we are here to help you! It is our hope that all students have at least 1 adult on this campus that they trust and genuinely cares about their wellbeing. Being Better Together is not just when you encounter difficult situations. Being better together means celebrating together, encouraging one another, as well as seeking advice. I know that being vulnerable with another person is difficult, but the reward of forming a positive working relationship with your teachers and the staff of this school is worth the risk! STUDENTS STAY UPDATED:
The Pre Health Professionals Club is selling flowers in honor of National Donor Day and Valentine's Day, which are both on February 14. Flowers are $2 each or 3 flowers for $5. Make sure you find a club member at lunch this week to send a flower or 10 to your friends or teachers! Flowers will be distributed on Valentine's Day. We have a limited amount - place your order TODAY!
PROM: Juniors and Seniors, please vote for the Prom theme by TODAY Wednesday, February 9th! The theme will be announced this Friday!
PAL Dress Down Day is Thursday February 10th. Collection is Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

- As you may know, East Wake Academy has been approved as a State COVID testing site for our students and staff. We have partnered with MAKO Medical, the State vendor for our area. We are asking that parents pre-register their students in the case of contact tracing. Please know that you will ALWAYS be called prior to your student being tested. - East Wake Academy's Lottery Application for the 2022 - 2023 school year will open January 10, 2022, at 8:00 am and close on February 11, 2022, at noon. This applies to any SIBLINGS of current students and the General Public. Please go to www.eastwakeacademy.org and click on the "Lottery Link" on the home page or the Admissions page (OPENS JANUARY 10, 2022). On March 9, 2022, the lottery will take place at 9:00 am in the Eagle Hall in the High School. You will receive an email within 45 minutes of the lottery, letting you know whether you got in and what the next steps will be for you to complete. If waitlisted (not all SIBLINGS are guaranteed admission – you are guaranteed priority in the lottery. Admission is based on open space.), you will receive an email letting you know what number you are on the waitlist. Please KEEP this email as you can check this for updates at any time.
