Congratulations to Alonnah Forbes on her acceptance into Allen University with a collective scholarship of $14, 000, Guilford College with a collective scholarship of $88, 000, Johnson & Wales University with a scholarship of $92,000, Salem College with a collective scholarship of $72,000, UNC Greensboro, Wingate University with a collective scholarship of $108, 000, NC Central University, Randolph College, and Fayetteville State University, and Congratulations to Connor Fitts on his acceptance into University of North Carolina Charlotte and Barton College with a scholarship of $56,000, and Liberty University.

EWA NEWS:

Parent's Night Out: Parents with Valentine's Day coming up and landing on a Tuesday this year, you are invited to drop your kid(s) off for a fun night on campus. While the kids are having fun you can then take this chance to go out and celebrate Valentine's Day a little early.

East Wake Academy’s Lottery Application Information:
This is a general message sent to everyone that is currently enrolled at EWA. Our re-enrollment process is complete. This message is for parents of EWA students that have siblings not currently enrolled in EWA at this time.
East Wake Academy's Lottery Application for the 2023 - 2024 school year will open January 9, 2023, at 8:00 am and close on February 10, 2023, at noon. This applies to any SIBLINGS of current students and the General Public.
Please go to www.eastwakeacademy.org and click on the "Lottery Link" on the home page or the Admissions page (OPENS JANUARY 9, 2023). On March 8, 2023, the lottery will take place at 9:00 am in the Eagle Hall in the High School. You will receive an email within 45 minutes of the lottery, letting you know whether you got in and what the next steps will be for you to complete. If waitlisted (not all SIBLINGS are guaranteed admission – you are guaranteed priority in the lottery. Admission is based on open space.), you will receive an email letting you know what number you are on the waitlist. Please KEEP this email as you can check this for updates at any time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kim Campbell at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org.

Theatre Club will meet briefly at lunch on Thursday, January 12, in room 211.
FBLA: Due to state competition planning - FBLA will meet the last 3 Fridays in January (Jan 13, 20, & 27) in Warren's room at lunch!!

SPORTS:
"Attention all Spring Athletes, 9th-12th grade, who are interested in trying out for Men's Golf, Women's soccer, Softball and Baseball. Please make sure you have a completed and up to date tryout packet ready by the first day of tryouts, February 13th. The completed packet will be given to your coach on day one of tryouts. This must be submitted to attend. Visit our athletic website (goewaeagles.org) and click the files/link tab to find the full tryout packet."
EWA Booster SCHOLARSHIP Information: We are excited about our first Booster Club scholarship. We are awarding 3 scholarships ($1500 each) this year. Students must meet the following criteria to apply.
- You must be a member of the Class of 2023
- You must have been an athlete for at least 3 years of high school
- You must have a GPA of at least a 3.0
