EWA K-12 Field Trip/Educational Day: Our school spring field trip will be Wednesday, April 12th at the Mudcats Stadium in Zebulon, NC. All students K-12 will be attending an EWA Mudcats Educational Day! The consent form found at bit.ly/EWAMudcats2023 must be completed for each student by Friday, March 3rd. See attached flier for more details.
Jr Dance Ensemble Auditions will be held Tuesday, February 28th in the dance room from 3:45-5:30 PM. There will be an interest meeting Monday, February 13th in Spirit Hall during lunch. There you will receive your audition packet. This audition is open to rising 7th and 8th graders. Dress Down: 2-month pass will run Friday, January 13--Friday, February 3 this pass will cover February and March dress down. Visit our website www.ewapal.com
Parent's Night Out: Parents with Valentine's Day coming up and landing on a Tuesday this year, you are invited to drop your kid(s) off for a fun night on campus. While the kids are having fun you can then take this chance to go out and celebrate Valentine's Day a little early. This is a paid event and being a PAL member gets you a discount! Lost and Found With the weather getting cooler students are wearing their winter apparel (jackets, gloves, hats, etc.) Please make sure you are putting students' names on all items and visiting our website https://ewalostandfound.weebly.com/ for missing items. This website is updated daily.
Drop and Pick Up No students are to be dropped off or picked up at building 5. Any student reported will receive disciplinary action.
Middle Academy Events
East Wake Academy’s Lottery Application Information: This is a general email sent to everyone that is currently enrolled at EWA. Our re-enrollment process is complete, and everyone that is receiving this email has completed re-enrollment for the 2022 – 2023 school year. This email is for parents of EWA students that have siblings not currently enrolled in EWA at this time.
East Wake Academy's Lottery Application for the 2023 - 2024 school year will open January 9, 2023, at 8:00 am and close on February 10, 2023, at noon. This applies to any SIBLINGS of current students and the General Public.
Please go to www.eastwakeacademy.org and click on the "Lottery Link" on the home page or the Admissions page (OPENS JANUARY 9, 2023). On March 8, 2023, the lottery will take place at 9:00 am in the Eagle Hall in the High School. You will receive an email within 45 minutes of the lottery, letting you know whether you got in and what the next steps will be for you to complete. If waitlisted (not all SIBLINGS are guaranteed admission – you are guaranteed priority in the lottery. Admission is based on open space.), you will receive an email letting you know what number you are on the waitlist. Please KEEP this email as you can check this for updates at any time. Middle Academy Sports Events
Attention all Spring Athletes, 6th-8th grade, who are interested in trying out for CoEd Golf, Women's Soccer, Softball and Baseball. Please make sure you have a completed and up to date tryout packet ready by the first day of tryouts, February 16th. The completed packet will be given to your coach on day one of tryouts. This must be submitted to attend. Visit our athletic website (goewaeagles.org) and click the files/link tab to find the full tryout packet.
High School Basketball Ticket News: As we kick off our home basketball games this year, we wanted all students and spectators to be aware of the conference bylaw changes to ticket pricing. Spectators will be $6 and students will be $3. One purchased ticket does cover all games happening on the night that the ticket is purchased.
**When athletes have away games please initial the roster located outside of the Middle School entrance. Do NOT enter the Middle School office.**
When there is a home game, students need to be picked up during carpool and brought back to school for the game. Students may not linger after school.
Students are NOT to leave for sports while in transition to the next class. They may exit at the time of dismissal for that game day.
