Ms. Blair’s third grade class read a book called The Crumpled Hearts to help promote kindness. They learned that even though we can apologize after using hurtful words, people’s feelings & hearts don’t completely mend. This helps students learn the theme: think before they speak!

✨ There's Magic in the Word "YET!" ✨

This week, Mrs. Pace's First Grade class discovered the power of having a growth mindset through The Magical Yet by Angela DiTerlizzi. 📚💙

After reading the story, our first graders reflected on something they can't do...YET! Together, we created a predictable sentence chart where each student shared a personal goal and celebrated that learning takes time, practice, and perseverance.

Today, our young authors reconstructed their own sentences and illustrated them with colorful, creative pictures. 🎨✏️

Soon, we'll compile all of their pages into a special classroom book for our library—a wonderful reminder that every challenge is an opportunity to grow.

We may not be able to do everything today... but with hard work, determination, and a little magic, we can always add the word "YET!" 💫

Rising 5th Grade Families and Students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year:
Please come join us for a 5th Grade Information meeting on June 3rd at 5:30 in Spirit Hall located in Middle Academy!
During this information meeting, the teachers will be going over some information about 5th-grade and Middle Academy policies to provide insight to families and students transitioning to the Middle Academy next school year.
Due to limited space in Spirit Hall, we recommend only parents/guardians attend.

K4 Field Day was a HUGE success! ☀️🎉

Our students and teachers had an amazing day filled with fun, laughter, and teamwork! A big THANK YOU to Coach T for organizing such a fantastic event and to the more than 90 volunteers who helped make the day so special for our students. We truly appreciate your time, energy, and support! 💙🦅

Note from the Nurse:
Please remember to pick up your child's medication.
Our medication policy requires the disposal of ALL medications that are not picked up by June 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
This includes emergency medications such as Inhalers, EpiPens, and Nasal Sprays, as well as OTC medicines.
If your child's medication is not picked up, it will be destroyed and discarded.

A parent/guardian must pick up the medicine. Medication cannot be sent home with students.

Spanish 2 students prepared a brief Spanish lesson for elementary students. They had to introduce vocabulary and provide an activity for students. They had fun creating lessons and being a teacher for the day!

Students in Mrs. Pace’s Class have been busy slithering into learning! 🐍📚

This week, students researched different types of snakes and used their findings to write informative papers. They explored snake habitats, diets, unique characteristics, and fun facts while practicing important research and writing skills.

We are so proud of their hard work, curiosity, and creativity as they became young researchers and authors! 🌟✏️
