From all of us at EWA, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to our students, staff, faculty, and alumni!

Computer Science students created Macy's Day Balloon models. 7th and 8th grade students wrote code to create parade music to match their designs!

Yesterday Ms. Pridgen’s class sampled different pies. Afterwards they chose their favorite and posted it on the graph. Chocolate was the favorite! Today students are writing about the pies they tasted.

Students in Foods 1 participated in a food truck rodeo where they studied entrepreneurship, created a food truck design, developed and cooked a recipe.

SIX SEVEN?! We’ve heard it all year but this time the teacher participated by slipping some extra special “67” activities on the 67th Day of School (Monday!).

High School Spanish 1 students participated in a running dictation where students broke into groups of four, and competed in a relay race. One student runs to read information in Spanish then runs back to report it. The scribe must record the information and the artist draws a picture to show comprehension. The cheerleader motivates their group! Then students had to rotate roles for a fun twist!

Our Giving Tree for EWA families is displayed in the K-4 Lobby! There are a few ornaments remaining on the tree, and we would love your support! You are also able to donate through MySchoolBucks so we can purchase items that do not get donated.

After taking an ornament off the tree, please make sure to sign out your ornament with Mrs. Boone. All gifts can be returned (unwrapped) by December 2nd, 2025, and there are Giving Tree boxes located in the lobby of each building for donations.

Mrs. Tanner’s Math 4 classes, students put their probability skills to the test with a fun twist on the classic game show “Deal or No Deal". Students calculated the probabilities of winning different amounts of “money” after each round while exploring Probability Distributions and Expected Value. This hands-on activity helped them see how math connects to real-world decision-making and added a little classroom excitement along the way!

Our 5th and 6th grade Fundamentals of Food students competed in Cupcake Wars! Here are a few of the entries! They did a great job!

As you begin to plan for the holiday season, we ask that you consider being a part of our annual Giving Tree for EWA families. This is a K-12 event that will support families school wide. We want to make sure all of our students have a bright holiday and would love your support. In addition to purchasing items from our tree or purchasing stocking items, you are able to donate here so we can purchase items that do not get donated. We will be taking donations through MySchoolBucks from now until Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Students in Mrs. Pace’s Class are hard at work on their “Week 6 Research Project”. Students each chose an animal to learn more about and are using PebbleGo to learn cool facts about their animal. Tomorrow, we will turn their facts into an informative writing piece and on Friday, they will present their findings to the class.

My Hot Lunchbox Update:
If you ordered from MHL last Wednesday, you may have heard that there was an order issue with the vendor (Pizza Hut). They were unable to print the lunch orders and just provided every student that ordered lunch with 2 slices of cheese pizza. MHL has sent an email to those parents about a credit. You may have received that email today, but it was in reference to last week.
Today's lunch delivery from Pizza Hut is on schedule and will be delivered as ordered. Sorry for the confusion!

The holiday season is just around the corner! As you make your plans, we invite you to join us in supporting our annual Giving Tree for EWA families. Together, we can make the season brighter for every student. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

Throughout the month of October, High School staff and students had the opportunity to nominate a student/peer who was observed displaying kindness throughout the school. We had many students nominated, and of those nominated, one student from each grade was chosen to receive a sweet treat. Congratulations to Ayden Glover, Kaydence Pearce, Evan Bloniarczyk, Chase Jordan! Special thank you to the @EWA Eagle Foundation who sponsored the treats for our students! Additionally, so happy to see these students showing their school spirit, and participating in High School spirit week this week!

Mrs. Dixon’s 8th grade science class created posters based on their research of various elements on the Periodic Table.
