
The Domestic Arts class completed their sewing unit by bringing the kindergarteners silly monster drawings to life!


On Friday we finished our week of celebrating the hard work and dedication of our EWA teachers and staff. We want to thank our parents and students for making this a wonderful week for them. Thank you again for making East Wake Academy a wonderful place for our students to thrive.








This past Wednesday the Soaring Singers chorus club had their Spring chorus concert. The group is made up of 36 3rd-5th graders. The concert included 6 pieces with 8 vocal solos and 6 percussion solos. Way to go, singers! 🎤🎵🎶






Mrs. Koca and Ms. Lape's Kindergarten class had a fun day celebrating hockey in our classroom on Thursday as one of our special days before the end of the year. We had a game with a tournament bracket where the kids competed for a Stanley Cup prize. It was so much fun and the kiddos loved it!!









K-4 recognized their last character trait winners for the year this week. These students have done an amazing job showing good judgment!


Mrs. Jones' high school Spanish 1 classes learned about the history of piñatas and made them in class

We continued our celebration of teachers and staff today with lunch and a sweet treat from the EWA Booster Club! Thank you to our Boosters for their support of our teachers and staff - they loved the treat! Our teachers are also really enjoying all of the sweet notes of thanks from our students and parents this week. Keep them coming!

Ms. Pridgen’s first grade class celebrated Cinco de Mayo today by learning about Mexico’s victory over the French! Students got to try chips and salsa and then completed a writing response about their thoughts on the new food! They finished up their lesson by learning the La Bomba song and dance. 💃






All week we'll be celebrating our teachers and staff for all the work they do to help our students. Whether they are teaching in the classroom, providing behind-the-scenes support, or giving a "hello" to a student in the hallway, they are a big part of what makes EWA the excellent school it is.

Kindergarten/Senior Walk May 2, 2025

Kindergarten enjoyed their Field Trip to Dean's Farm Market in Wilson where learned about the life cycle of a strawberry and were able to pick their own pint of fresh berries from the field.
