Thanks so much to @strikeandbarrel for hosting our staff EOY party. It was the perfect location for our staff to unwind, enjoy games, fellowship and food. Not only are EWA the best staff around, they are also very competitive athletes!

Good evening. Regarding the hazardous materials situation: we have received word it is safe to resume our normal schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5th. We would like to thank all the first responders involved for their fast action and communicating with us so quickly.

Good evening. A hazardous materials incident has occurred near the school near Industrial Drive. The campus is closed to everyone until further notice. When we are given the "all clear" we will let everyone know.
The board meeting originally scheduled for this evening has been postponed. A new date and time will be announced on our Website.

These 4th Grade SOAR recipients served as ambassadors for the Kindergarten Graduation. They did a great job greeting our guests.

East Wake Academy Kindergarten Class 2024

Happy last day of school! We want to sincerely thank all of our parents and families for trusting us with your children and for making this another great year at EWA. We could not do it without your support.

Congratulations to the EWA Class of 2024!
Behind you are all your memories.
Before you lie all your dreams.
Around you are all who love you.
Within you, you have all you need.
Also, special thanks to our very own Andrew Cone, Esq., EWA Class of 2014, who did a fantastic job as the graduation speaker!

On Wednesday, MA hosted Career Day for all our students! We had 18 guest speakers share with our students about their own career paths and passions. Students were able to hear from 4 different speakers throughout the morning. Thank you to all our guest speakers, staff, and students who were able to make this day so special!

Our Varsity Baseball team is currently in the 5th round of the State Playoffs. This is an exciting time because this is the longest playoff run in our baseball program's history. The team won game 1 of the series Tuesday night and will host Northside Pinetown tomorrow night at Pilot Lions Park at 6:00pm - 50 Pilot Bypass, Zebulon
EWA Boosters invites you to come out tonight (bring your tailgating chairs) to support the Eagles!!

5/22 - carpool update:
Due to an unexpected delivery carpool is a little delayed getting started today. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our own Rylee Sharpe having a “Plant Talk” with 3rd graders today. She has been an EAGLE since kindergarten and graduates on Tuesday ❤️
Rylee is heading to NCSU in the fall. We are so proud of her!
THANK YOU to @Lee's Garden Center in Johnston County
for supplying the plants! If you are in Clayton stop by and see them🪴🌸

Today in K-4 we celebrated our final character trait of the year, integrity. Congratulations to these students for always making the right choice even when no one is looking!

In what has become an annual tradition, First Grader’s have been busy creating their Tie-Dye shirts and class flags that we will sport on Field Day!

As a K-12 School, one of EWA's favorite traditions is the Kindergarten/Senior Walk.
I hope you enjoy this video of the class of 2024 and the class of 2036!

“Spanish 2 students from Mrs. Jones’s classroom taught elementary students a mini lesson in Spanish. Topics included were colors, numbers, and a fun song called “Los Pollitos Dicen.”

EWA staff are INSPIRING our students everyday!

More of our DEDICATED teachers!

East Wake Academy has been recognized as a Heart Safe School by Project Adam. In order to receive this distinction our campus has established and practiced a plan to respond to sudden cardiac arrest. EWA has an emergency crisis response team composed of staff that are CPR trained and have conducted simulation drills. Congratulations to Nurse Christy, Mr. Campbell and the team at EWA.
**Not all team members were present for the photo.

‘C’ is for Chopsticks! In 2nd grade ELA, we’ve been reading and learning interesting facts about Ancient China through “The Magic Treehouse” series and a Chinese alphabet book. Today, students were challenged to engage in a common practice of the Chinese culture… chopsticks!
